    Today is the BIG day!

Just wanted to tell you guys...that today we are going to pick up our new puppy!

    Wish us luck,,PLEASE!

I am excited and nervous. I almost feel a little guilty.... thinking "poor Bubby!"

Thinking do I bring him home in a box, blanket, etc etc.....thinking and thinking. Wearing myself out!  LOL!

I'll let you guys know how it went. Its about an hour and 1/2 drive there.

YIKES!  So much to do to prepare,,,so little time!!!     LOL!

I'm so excited for you!!!  And, don't worry about Bubby - I'm sure she'll be fine with your choice.  I often think that my past dogs actually choose the next one for me.  I haven't yet figured out if they are helping, or playing one big gigantic heavenly joke on me:-)))

i know exactly how you are feeling, felt the same way when we went to pick up our little Bonnie Blue.  I felt so guilty about our darling Apirl.  Still do at times, but Bonnie has helped us so much and kept us busy. *S*  Good luck with your new little pup.  Enjoy

Congrats Dyan! I totally understand your feelings and they are entirely normal. Bubby will be looking down on you today and be happy that you are opening your heart to another pup :)

Oh, Dyan, I'm so happy for you!  Did I miss something?  Last I knew you were turned down by a rescue.  Sad  Anyhoo- good luck with the new baby.  Can't wait to hear all about him.  Oh, there will be pictures, right?  SmileI totaly understand the mixed feelings.  I went through the same thing when we got Caleb.  I still feel guilty once in awhile because of how much Caleb and I have bonded.  But, like others have said, that's normal.

    How do you do?

Congratulations, Dyan!  I can certainly relate to the "new pup, mixed feelings" thing, but just think what a lucky pup this is - going to such a great home. Smile

Really happy for you and DH, Dyan!  And the new pup is a lucky little boy!  Can't wait to her all about this new adventure.

I understand your mixed feelings - I often feel pangs of guilt and twinges of sorrow when Ernesto is sitting in my lap and I'm stroking him because Iggy used to spend more time in my lap than the other cats.  But I push past it 'cause it's not fair to the sweet pets that are still with me.

Kitty boy Iggy, forever in our hearts...

Re: Today is the BIG day!

Oh boy, and does he have big feet and floppy ears.   He is sleeping on DH right now so that I can come here for a while.   Don't know what to do with a puppy...YIKES!

Thanks everyone...for the best wishes and the moral support. I DO feel a little guilty about Bubblegum..but I know it is because of her that we need a dog here..she was such a wonderful friend.

Now,,,if only I can remember how to post pictures to Photobucket to get them to you guys....geez,,,remebering how easy it used to be on the old Idog to post pictures.   Darn.

dyan I am so happy for you and your DH. I know Bubblegum is smiling as she know what a wonderful mom and dad you guys are and she is so happy that you now have a new puppy to raise and take care of. I bet Bubby thinks this is the luckiest little pup in the world. Can`t wait to see the pictures.
