I've been diagnosed as a diabetic. I went to the nutritionist yesterday and got some information and now I need to go grocery shopping. Problem is...I don't *know* food. Like, I know green beans, corn and what have you, but when you start talking anything more *exotic* I'm lost. I'm also not real creative in coming up with stuff to make/eat.
So....according to the nutritionalist I can have between 45-60g carbs 3x a day. I like to have stuff I can munch on and I *know* I'm gonna get bored w/ carrots (he said they were a 'free' food, meaning I can have as many as a want). I'm also not a good cook (actually a rarely cook at all) so simple is really good for me.
I'm probably gonna go to the store tonight or tomorrow and look at a million labels, but any help/suggestions from you guys is totally appreciated.
TIA
Oh yea....if you think there is even the *slightest* chance I might not know what your talking about, you're probably right, so could if you tell me WHERE (ie. the soup asile, the veggie aisle, etc.) to find it, that would be great
