Yeah that's what it's looking like here. We HAD NO spring. It went from 'winter' here to summer HOT in a heartbeat!
Spring is here in Michigan! Highs about 60, rainy today, might be nice tomorrow. You ladies have to come here!
Yep. Short spring. I remember quite a few years ago having triple digits in May and everyone was saying "OMG, if it's like this in May, what will July/August be like?" And guess what? It turned out to be a very mild summer as valley summers go. Dare we hope? Actually, wouldn't mind it being a few degrees hotter if it would mean the dang wind would stop. It's not like it's cooling anything off - just blowing everything around.

LOL - I can't believe we're already in the 90s and 100s. It's been super windy too and already we've had wildfires break out. It seemed like we had a decent amount of rain and snowfall, but apparently not and now we're in drought conditions already

True. Apparently a lot of our water comes from snowpacks melting in the Sierras and there's just not as much snowmelt this year. I so hope we don't have another one of those summers with the powers that be telling us not to flush the toilets. Last time we were in a major drought, one of the late night talk show hosts made up this little ditty: "Welcome to California. Have fun in the sun. Remember ... don't flush after number one." Yuck. Not that the guys in my house do a bang up job with that anyway - but still.
Can I come visit you guys?! I've got rain and wind storms. And it was snowing last night!! Didn't stick thank doG but still!! I want nice warm summer weather...

Yep, come on down but bring your sunscreen
When I really feel whiney about it, I do think of Callie and the others who live with the heat AND humidity and I'm thankful that we only have the heat. Still, I think it's been maybe 2 weeks that I've been able to leave the windows open at night because it wasn't too cold. Now I'll have to close everything up all night (and day) to run the AC.
Surprisingly, we've actually had a few weeks between turning the heat off and turning the A/C on. The past two years here in Pittsburgh have gone from 30s and 40s to 70s and 80s in about 2-3 weeks but we've been in the 60s or low 70s for several weeks now..... knock on wood, I like it!
wow i can't believe the difference in the highs and lows!! If it's in the 90s here, the low is like 75.
well the real question is - who is already ready for FALL!!!!
MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I hate the heat of summer!

I could actually go for it being a "little" warmer and definitely sunnier here in MI. I know I need to be careful what I wish for but in my mind it can never be "too hot", too humid yes but not too hot. I want to give my horse another bath it has not been warm enough since April.
Now they're talking record setting highs for the next few days and it looks like we've broken a record for morning highs for this time of year
I had a moment of panic when I got home from work yesterday. DH had left the ladder in the hallway and the AC vent cover was open in the ceiling. I was sure the AC had gone out but he'd just taken the filter outside to clean it - Whew!!!!
I've been on that "time of usage" program with PG&E for years and years, but I think today I'm going to call them and get on the regular program. The older I get the harder it is to wait until after 7 p.m. to turn the AC or heater on. I'd like to be able to set it at about 80 (with the attic fan, that works) and not have to pay an arm and a leg for doing it earlier in the day.
still quite springy where i am. dont know you're complaining about lol its 80 right now
