    Dog show question...

Is there a limit to how many legs you can do in one weekend?  I found a show that's 4 days, each day hosted by a different club.  They actually have a new judge for each day.

I'm pretty sure that there is no limit.  It is not unusual for there to be at least 4 "shows" during a weekend of showing in obedience and agility - two each day.  As long as not more than two are won under the same judge, you are good to go after your title.

    Good luck Smile

What are you showing?  Under AKC or UKC?

AKC for the RA.  Would be nice to just get it done.  I want the RA so we can move on to the CD or BH.  I don't care as much about the RE since the RA is off leash.   Showing is so expensive!  I think it's cheaper to do all at once since you get a discount after your first entry.

Nope, no limit. :) And unless you're dead set on getting that RA for the off leash opportunities (which are honestly kinda limited, since you can't train in the ring)? You can save money by doing matches off leash and just moving straight on into obedience and her BH.

I'm just gonna do the RA b/c now my friend wants to go and finish her RN.

Do the dogs have to honor in RA?

I think each day is a different trial, so there is no entry fee reduction.  They are for two classes like RA and RE on the same day.

I'll have to check.  I've done more than one before and paid less for the second entry fees.

Entry fees depend entirely on what the club wants to do.  I have seen where some will offer a reduced (package) price if you enter all available events you can enter for all days.  There are no set rules on reducing fees except it must be available to everyone.

I'm planning on getting Emma's RE on one weekend, in May.... Same thing. A four day cluster show, with different clubs, and different judges for each day. I'm going to do an RAE, for her, to fill in the time between now and when she's ready for her CD and CDX.

Libby's Monkey N The Middle (Chinese Crested, 1/26/2008)
