Re: Crate Training / Potty Training tips

Over Christmas I met another puppy who couldn't stop it mid flow either.  Gah.  I was visiting and didn't have a change of clothes!  Serves me right I suppose!

    litter won't housebreak

I am a foster for our local animal shelter. I currently have 3 pups approx 7-8 weeks old. I have had lots and lots of animal expierence but I must hadmit I've never gone thru housebreaking.

I keep the pups in a crate at night, so it's not a problem cleaning it each morning. But I let them run the kitchen durring the day and I can't get them to use the puppy pad or newspaper. I first tired leaving it in a corner but that didn't last more than 15 seconds. Then I tried duct taping it to the floor but they managed to that up.

Now I catch my self on pee and poop duty every 10 minutes or so. Any suggestions?
