    Where Do I Find One?

We have a "lamp shade" for post surgical needs, but they are not the best for a crate situation. Does any one know where you can get the wide foam collars? I think the proper name for that is an "E" collar, but I personally have applied that name to both. Is there a better name too?

My beagle didn't do well in the lampshade thing either because he couldn't put his nose on the ground which is what he lives for.  PetCo sells an inflatable collar that you blow up and put on the dog's neck - which lets him see and smell everything but won't let them get at their stitches or whatever you needed the e-collar for.

There is another collar called a BiteNot Collar.  It is available online through different pet supply companys.  I know that www.jbpet.com carries it.

It is only a bite if you have to get stitches, otherwise it is just a kiss!!

Ann, when you pick up Teddi, stop at Soldans up here. They have them. I think that Pet supplies plus also carries them

There are several more comfortable alternatives to the standard Elizabethan-style collar:
