    Doggie recipe - Frosty Paws

Hope this is the right place to put this.  I haven't tried these yet but I can't wait to try them!  Sounds good enough for human animals to eat!  Here goes:

    FROSTY PAWS FROZEN DOG TREATS

    32 oz. Vanilla yogurt

1 ripe Banana mashed or 1 5oz. jar banana baby food

    2 tbs. Peanut butter

    2 tbs. Honey

Blend all ingredients together and freeze in 3 oz. Dixie cups.

    Makes 13 servings.

That sounds yummy! It could be a good Kong filler, too.

OMG You won't believe this, but I just got back from shopping a while ago, and guess what I bought?  Bananas, peanut butter, and vanilla yogurt.  Do you think the dogs were sending me Frosty Paw vibes at the store?????  Nahhhh.  Um....

These really are good enough for humans and dogs alike.  I always keep some in my freezer for the pups in the summer.  LOL  Even the neighbours dog comes over for one.

Awesome recipe.  I didn't even realize dogs could have bananas and honey.  I will definitely pick these items up tomorrow at the grocery store.

You could also put this in ice cube trays, freeze, pop out and put in freezer bags for future.

We got a new German Shepard mix puppy (as opposed to an older rescue) a couple years ago and every thing that went into that puppy came out (on end or the other) liquid-form during the night EVERY night until we started feeding him yoghurt before bed. Since then we've started mixing in a joint supplement that both he and the older dog get and it's become a nice bedtime ritual to have yogurt-treat then an enzyme chew toothbrush. This sounds like a great summer change or something to give them when the weather is too cold but the wood stove in the mudroom is a bit warm at bed time!

I freeze plain yogurt for our dogs as their "frosty paws."  Peanut gets severe diahrrea from peanut butter, neither dog likes bananas.  SOmetimes, I do add some honey to it, just for variety, they LOVE it!
