Callie,,,you might NOT want your notifications to go to your email. I came home from work to over 300 emails...and they just kept coming.  I had to sign back off of all of them.   Somewhere is SUBSCRIPTIONS...where you can pick out what you want to have sent.  The problem is that anytime any person posts...the email get sent to you....I haven't figured how to do it like like I had it before...where I would only get one notification per thread until I read it.

OMG You're not kidding, I did this and had so many e-mails!!!  I'm going to keep reading the other posts, before I ask my next question.  Glad to hear it wasn't just me!

Thank you for your kindness. A dog would help but unfortunately I am allergic to them Sad

However, in our office one of the guys brings his pomeranian puppy and I let him bite my ears at the start of every day. And that really helps Big Smile

Aaaahhh!  Don't they have shots for that?  You can get one, come on!  You could always get one of those hairless ones.   LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I am rather new, but I intend to be as active and learn as much as possible from this community.  Believe me, I need it.

I mentioned to Dyan -- 300 emails is FAR easier to deal with than 300 posts on here.  With 300 emails you just click at the top on the word "subject" (this works in any Windows program that lists files) and it will organize the list by subject so all the 'same' posts list together.  Then you can open one if you want to see if it's interesting and delete the rest -- but just knowing how many posts a given thread GOT often gives me a really good idea of whether or not I want to check on it.

so out of 300 emails maybe there are only 25 'new' posts.  But because I subscribe to emails rather than having to check ALL the posts not read, they're all posts from forums I DO subscribe to.  It's just far far less work intense than having to plow thru 7 pages of posts, all of which I have to  "open in a new window" or I have to set up the whole new "posts not read" thing again because it won't go 'back' reliably.

For me it's just FAR FAR FAR easier to organize in email.

This is definitely something to get used to, it looks good though. I haven't been here for some months, have all the old posts been lost? Did all members loose their signatures & avatars also, or just myself? I think I had my SD's cape avatar & my respect leash laws sig in here... then again it could have been my buddy ball petition. Can't remember.
