    Nats numbers

Ours just came in...total of 288 Beagles.

What's the usual amount of entries at YOUR nationals?

Not a clue, since I don't show....but I gotta say, that many beagles in one building must mean an awful lot of baying!

    Re: Nats numbers

I looked up the sheltie nationals and there were 625 in 2006 and about 672 in 2005.  There were 384 this year.

Seems that when the hold the nationals west of the rockies the number of entries goes down.  They are the greatest with events held in the midwest and east coast.

You can see all the national clubs entry numbers at http://www.akc.org/events/event_statistics.cfm

Ours is in Aldie,Va this year...I would imagine location makes a big difference esp with the larger breeds where travel/shipping is a real ordeal!

ABTC (terv nationals)  300+ in conformation multiple entries in performance events are common place, the norm actually.  ABMC (malinios) range from 30-60 in conformation with multiple events common place.  The west coast "curse" impacts our numbers as well, usually entries in the 200 range.  UKC  is between 100 and 200 mostly conformation. (all four varieties at one show)

Only if they have more than 1 day of agility.  I won't travel 6 hours for only 1 day of competition.
