Reply Contact  Hi & welcome from a Texas member.  You'll love this site.  Great people and information for raising a dog "the right way".  I love your Saint Bernard!  What a cutie!  When I was in high school in Kansas we kept one for a friend for a couple of weeks.  I swear his head was the size of a lion's!  What an experience, because we had a 9 lb dachshund at the time!  But he was a real nice dog (other than the gallons of slobbering he did on our back porch! )  And it was cool, Fall, at the time!  We soon learned what the owner meant when he said the dog had his own bedroom with personal window unit air conditioner running year-round!   Againk WELCOME!  Peggy Mom to Button & Zipper Two sweet RatTexans (Rat Terriers)

Reply Contact Beautiful Pup Erin!!   No Saint here, although I tell my DH I would love to have one someday - shamefully the drool scares me a bit!  However I own a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog!!  The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is considered the oldest of the Swiss breeds and was instrumental in the early development of both the St. Bernard and the Rottweiler.  So we have plenty in common, welcome!

I actually dont own any right now ( l lost my big guy a year ago) , but I've starting helping with rescue. I decided to foster saint bernards for the state rescue instead of get another dog.
