    Barking at visitors

Since Holly the alpha bulldog died, Red (golden mix) has stepped up to being the protector of the house.  Problem is when relatives arrive, he charges to about 10 feet away barks at them and will not stop when I tell him NO BARK and SIT.  Even if I stand with him and command him and hold him,,,he wont stop until the people sit down.  He has seen these relatives many times.

DH is glad he is barking but I want him to stop on my command.
He is a very obidient dog otherwise and he gets enough excerise as we have a young bulldog he always plays with.  The baby bulldog does not do this behavior..
