Reply Contact  If it is lepto I just want to add that my sister's lab had it badly (was hospitalized for 4-5 days) at age 3 and is now 14 and still playing with her 'kids'   (also going to move this to the Spiritual Circle)

Reply Contact Gosh Emily, I'm not sure if the news is good or bad and I know you feel the same way. The most important thing is to find out what you're dealing with and I know that's what makes the waiting so darn difficult. He looked terrified to be there. I wish I could have stayed with him the whole day. He gets so anxious. I also dropped off a stool sample.   Re: Keep Scout in your prayers.... Reply Contact Thanks so much guys. Well we got the call from the vet. No signs of cancer that they could see. They noted that the walls of his intestines appear to be thickened. But he said xray is not a good way to evaluate that. His recommendation to us is to take him home and feed him more food and see if we can't get some of that weight back on him. If after 2 weeks we see no improvement then we go back in for an ultrasound to see if his intestines are thickened. And if that's the case then we do biopsy to check for intestinal cancer or IBD or whatever else that might be causing it. But i feel hopeful. He's home now and I just fed him his breakfast(that we were supposed to withhold this morning), threw in some extra bacon fat leftover from breakfast, am ordering some supplements to help him absorb more of his food. So we need weight gaining vibes and prayers!!!!! Come on scout get chunky! Powered by CGISpy.com
