Where does your dog sleep at night?

Reply Contact  My two sleep all over the house!!  Some nights they are in my room on their bed at the foot of my bed, some nights they sleep on the couch in the living room, and if Dh is out of town (like he will be tonight) BOTH dogs are in the bed with me!  Brownie likes to be under the blankets and Dipper doesn't!  Aside from the 2 dogs, I will also have at least 2 of the cats in the bed with me tonight!! ~*Kimberly*~

  Re: Where does your dog sleep at night? Reply Contact Bingo sleeps at the foot of the bed, outside the covers. I have, uh occasional...gentlemen...bedroom...guests. If Bingo likes them, she stays in the room with us. If not, she sleeps on the floor. It's possible her liking or disliking them comes from them, not her, but it always seems that if Bingo chooses the floor, it isn't long before I'm breaking up with the guy. If she gives him a vote of confidence and sleeps on the bed, the guy turns out all right. Gotta be a coincidence, right?

Reply Contact  Dahlia sleeps on her own bed that's right next to our bed.  In the summer though, she sometimes prefers sleeping on the floor just past her bed.  It's cooler.  Her bed is almost an extension of ours.  We sleep on a futon mattress on the floor, so we're on the same level as her.

Reply Contact Bear sleeps in his wire crate at night - we're still working on the house training.  Adanudo used to sleep either in her wire crate, or with me in bed. Most of the time we were on the road in a semi, so there wasn't much choice in the matter. In "bad neighborhoods" she made it a point to sit up front all night and keep watch on the truck and trailer while I slept. ~ lora ~

  Re: Where does your dog sleep at night? Reply Contact Abby sleeps at the bend of my knees in our bed, if she has a chance she will try to get up further, but DH doesn't like it. And Pella sleeps on the floor next to the bed, so if you get up in the middle of the night you could step on her. I am waiting for someone to post that dogs shouldn't be allowed in bed. I know I heard that, but..............

I'd love to sleep with them in my bed, but it's get too hairy and hot. haha Especially with a nearly 100 pound dog like Ben. Shay, Bentley- 2 year old Newfoundland mix + Milo- 8 year old Bichon Frise/Poodle mix

When we have really bad thunderstorms here in the midwest he gets scared and will sleep at the end of our giant oversived bed. However - a 70lb dog can take up way more room than a person. :)

  Re: Where does your dog sleep at night? Reply Contact My dog has the free run up the downstairs, though saying that his basket is in the living room and he never really moved out of that room. He did have a crate when younger but he is completeley house trained so we decided to ditch it (well, stick it in the attic). We have a small child at the minute so have a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs so he cannot come up stairs, but he never has since we got rid of the crate. Chris Harrison
