  retained baby teeth Reply Contact Zack is 6 months old and now has both his adult and baby canines.  I went through this with Zoe too and I had the teeth removed at the same time she was spayed.  With Zack I am waiting to neuter until he is a year old and I hate to put him under just to remove these teeth.  Can I wait or do I need to do it now? I did not know this but Belle has a major over bite our vet feels it is because her canines came out too late and they hooked backwards thus not allowing proper growth. I never had any issues with any of my other dogs, but that was the first I had heard this. You may just want to check with them to be safe IMO .
