Where do you take your pets to be vaccinated?

I would do a poll but do not know how to set one up....

    A.  Low Cost Vaccination Clinics (e.g. Luv My Pet at Petco stores)

    B.  Traditional Veterinarian's Office

    C.  Local Pet Store

    D.  Local Animal Shelter

    E.  Other (please specify)

I have been considering Luv My Pet for my dog because their prices are really reasonable (you won't spend more than $49) and I'm a student who is trying to budget and save for vet visits ONLY IF something happens negatively in my pet's heath plus a yearly check up. So I figured I could do the standard, preventative health measures for a healthy pet at a low cost clinic. What do you think???  what does everyone else do?

    B. We go to our usual local veterinarian....Old Derby Animal Hospital....It's a traditional vet office. Same place we go for annuals, emergencies, and the place we had him neutered.

I think since you are a student, getting the Luv My Pet vaccines that are low cost, and saving your money for annuals and emergencies, is fine.

When my dogs need vaccines, they go to their regular vet.

Other - I do my own. I work for a shelter clinic, so I am able to purchase my vaccines at cost and do it that way. The vet there does the rabies vaccine.

I DO have a regular vet that we see for things that are out of the ordinary, and emergancies and such. One of my cats just had their teeth cleaned, we went to our regular vet for that.

B and E. I take my dogs to the vet for their first puppy exams and first shots, but after that I vaccinate my own animals (except for Rabies - then it's back to the vet!).

Mine go to the vet because they also have their regular physical and heartworm tests.

Can I have my 4000-something posts back? Pretty please?

Our regular vet.  They always send a  reminder card when something is due.

I take all my five puppies to the vets office.

1st trip-- Brownie, Cuddles, Possum. Brownie and Cuddles on the floor in the backseat and Possum on the passenger seat.

2nd trip-- Baxter, Bailey. Baxter on the passenger seat and Bailey on the floor in the backseat.

Traditional vet for normal and routine shots , I vaccinate my litters myself.  But vet them for dew claws, microchipping and health certs.

Saves a good bit when you have a lot of pups to deal with.

I take my dogs to the vet, or I vaccinate them myself.

cats and dog - vet. I like them to be familar with the clinic, have their annual exam/bloodwork (for those over 8) and a good feel.

I think the yearly exams are very important and it's payback for all the scooping I do year round along
