    Callie's OK

Apparently there's a big kerfluffle in Orlando involving a shooting.  Callie called and asked me to let everyone know that she's fine.  Her internet is down.  I didn't know anything about the shooting (not unusual since I don't do much internet news surfing) but I know lots of you guys might have heard about this shooting situation.   So anyway our gal Callie is A OK!!

Callie, I hope I spelled kerfluffle correctly but I just hated to pass up the opportunity to use that word!!  lol

Thanks Jackie. Callie was the first person I thought of when I got the news. I'm glad she's okay.

Man -- you'd think "big brother is watching me!!" -- no one could get cell phone service, the internet was so slammed no one could get thru -- Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle!!

Apparently they finally "have" him -- now they just have to sort everything out -- but this wasn't conducive to getting much done today.  I shouldn't make light -- a lot of people have been VERY scared because he apparently "got away" or they thot he did and were beginning to advertise what car they thot he was in.

It's a building really close to where I work -literally a few blocks -- but after I heard how worried my folks were and knowing it was "national" I figgered I'd better check in wif sumbuddy cos everbuddy knows I'm a legal sek-a-terry an work in downtown Orlando.  *sigh*

It was a bit tense and I admit we locked OUR office deadbolt "just because" we knew they didn't have him until after 2:00 p.m.  I feel SO sorry for those folks in that building.  I used to WORK in that building (many many lawfirms and a lifetime ago).  Way more mahoghany counters and doorways than I was comfortable with.

The full moon was LAST weekend folks.  What AILS people -- can we stop selling guns at Wal-mart now please???  Or gee, maybe we can start listening to what people say and know when someone is maybe a tad bit upset and needs some help??  (shut up and go back to work Callie -- the worst is over now)

I just had a feeling folks would be trying to figger out who might be close to THIS one.

So tickled that you thought to call someone to let us know you were OK, Callie!  I did think of you when I heard about it, but that wasn't long before this thread started...

I wasn't in the office when she first called me and couldn't get back very quickly due to a lunch I couldn't get away from quickly, thus a delay in my post. :(  I think she got hold of Meg who posted in MC before I did.  Anyway, the important thing is our Callie is safe and sound.  We'd all have to come to Orlando and get justice if anyone hurt Callie.

eidted to thank Chuffy for the spelling correction.  I was pretty sure it wasn't quite right but didn't think spell check would work on that one. lol   I do kind of like kerfLuffle though. lol

When I heard the news I was trying to make a mental list of i-doggers who may have been in harms way.  I'm so glad you're okay, Callie.

    Abso-frickin-lutely!!

Kerfluffle would be a cute name for a rambunctious fuzzy puppy, lol.

Yeah, and I'm finally close enough to raise HOLY MAJOR heck!

Good golly Callie.  I know that I was worried, and then I started worrying about David after someone posted that you were ok.....CNN left a good deal to be desired when I flipped on.....

So very glad you are both ok!
