    AAh! Husbands

You guys all know how crazy I am about my dogs' food. I *thought* I had settled on petguard with some toppers, but I was talking to dh tonight and he said "I thought you were going with Freshpet, it makes a lot more sense" because it's very low in grain, just a bit of rice.

THey are doing nicely on it. I like that it's high in moisture. Ugh. LOL

But I do have a bag of petguard coming in tomorrow, so I'll use it.  But geez, nothing like messing with the psychodogfood lady! LOL

There's no reason you can't feed both---maybe kibble/topper in the a.m. and Freshpet in the p.m.---or vice versa.  If they do well on both, it's nice to have the versatility to feed both.

tzu mom, I think you are right. They do really like the fresh pet, but they also love the petguard as well.

I did find some information from sabine (better dog care site) who said FP is very high in salt  and now bought out by tyson foods, which is just a mess in itself (google it for lots of dirt on the company) so I am not sure I want to support that.   I was wondering why, even though FP is a moist food, why they have been drinking tons of water.

Anyway, it's hard to find any company you can trust these days.  And dh is ok with whatever we choose to feed, he thought they did well on PetGuard too.
