I have a set of Oster Golden A5s but they weigh a ton, & they are really loud. They work fine to deal with the minor trimming that Bevo needs, but I don't think that Angel will be thrilled with the noise, & I know that I won't be happy about having to hold the heavy things for any extended period of time.

A peice of ceramic tile is great to cool them on, or compressed air spray for cleaning keyboards is fine.

Re: Opinions on these clippers

I *love* Laube clippers, but honestly? If I were only grooming two dogs..... the Speed Feed is sufficient, and now they're selling blades of various sizes. It comes with blade combs, and the blade is adjustable from #9 to #40. I've shaved dogs as big and hairy as Springers, with it. Today, I shaved a Lab, with it. It's totally ok with that. It's cordless, and lightweight, stays cool, and is very, very smooth. I couldn't be happier with it, and see no reason to spend the extra cash if you aren't grooming all day, every day.

Re: Opinions on these clippers

HI

These are the clippers I use Illoked at dog.com first and didn't find anything so here are a few sources for clippers like mine for around $100 dollars and these are quality clippers.

http://www.bowmanbeauty.com/page/BBS/PROD/1-26100/22315

http://www.groomerschoice.com/Andis-AGC-Super-2-Speed/productinfo/AN22360/

I hope this helps there are a lot of great quality clippers out there I chose these for the price replacement parts availability and brand name. I use these clippers on Standard Poodles. They work very well for me. also make sure you buy luberacant and cooling spray as these are very fast running clippers and the blades will need to be cooled after long use.

Chris the Poodle Daddy

Dogs make the best people.. All doGs go to heaven.

Opinions on these clippers

I am in the market for a set of clippers. Since I know nothing about clippers, I thought that someone with more experience than I could give me an opinion on these clippers.

I would be using them to trim one fuzzy poodle/schnauzer mix, along with whisker/ear hair trims on Bevo, if that makes any difference.
