I was quite surprised when they asked if my dogs were friendly.. Usually they just run up and hug Maze, and I have a heartattack, hoping Maze doesn't flip out.

Yay for Maze! And yay for kids that actually do what you want them to, when it comes to dogs. Around here I'm happy if they ask before barging up to my dogs like their stuffed animals...

I had both dogs on a long line today since it's been awhile since I've tested Maze's recall. But she just drags it behind her, I don't hold it.

OH! I forgot about a Maze brag! 3 young kids wanted to meet Sandy so I had put Maze in a downstay, walked away, chatted with the kids and their dad, rolled my poop bags back in to it's container (lol), and then went back to Maze. This was a span of 10 minutes!! She didn't move a muscle! I'm so proud! Although the kids did scare Sandy pretty good even thou they did what I asked. I forgot to bring treats for the kids to feed her so I'll have to remember that next time.

Ugh...count your blessings...and pick up a chuck-it while your at it. LOL.

Crusher will only fetch basketballs. He has had one since he was a pup, always a yellow smiley face walmart basketball. He's been through about 8 I think. He noses them around on the ground for an hour or so then he gets tired of that, chomps down, flattens it and then runs around bashing it into anyone he can. It is the one thing he will not drop on command, though he will leave it. You have to stuff your hand into his mouth behind the ball and scoop it out, then put him in a down stay or he will have caught the thing before its left your hand again. Its actually alot funnier than it sounds I'm sure. He'll fetch tennis balls on a long line, but not loose.

I took both dogs to the park for a bit and to test out Sandy's new 20ft rope. Some lesson's learned...

1)I've been spoiled with a 50ft rope and had to run after Sandy

2)Sandy has selective hearing when her nose is to the ground. Lol

3)Sandy does not like parks to play in (Anyone else experience this??)

4)Maze loves fetch.. I mean LOVES. I had to stop her cuz she wouldn't quit..

I grabbed her tug toy and a tennis ball and we had a little talk. I told her that if she wanted to play with the tug, she had to bring the ball back. So I threw the ball, she brought it back, dropped it my feet and IGNORED the tug toy!! She wanted nothing to do with it even thou it is her all time highest reward in Agility. So now she does a victory lap and then brings the ball back for me to throw..

I think I may have to invest in a chuck-it soon.. Lol Sandy however does not like to play in parks.. So I think I may have to start a new exercise regime with them. Take Sandy for a long walk in the morning and take Maze to the park at night to play fetch.. Lol

Maze after about half an hour of fetch. Or was it 20 minutes.. Not sure but I know it wasn't that long. Don't mind my kitchen floor.. I do clean it! Honest!

Iz no like parks... No fun... (Like our new couch!?)
