She&amp;#39;s also my destroyer - beds are no match for her. Hopefully she grows out of that. I also call her my floppy dog. &lt;p&gt;Retired Guide Dog. Now about as animated as a rug. (Hey, shes retired----what else is she gonna do?) Big, loveable goofball dog who now gets to get all the lovin&amp;#39; she craved but couldnt get while working.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Roanna&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Black Labrador (see above) Retreiver (also American)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Active Guide Dog. Doesnt miss a thing that goes on when working. When off duty, shes usually in Moms lap, at Moms feet, in Moms bed (Dad is not too wild about that part), generally waiting to be back on duty as she loves to work. Therefore, his jobs are right in line with his breed!  &lt;img src="http://community.dog.com/emoticons/emotion-2.gif" alt="Big Smile" /&gt;  VBD is what my evolutionary paleontologist friend calls dogs like this that are so many breeds that they&amp;#39;ve gone back to the original Paleodog which can still be seen in many third world countries in their original roles:  general alert, trash reduction, and critter control.

Maggie is the same thing really. Kenya is from working lines (very old herding/tending lines and lines that produce schutzhund, protection, border patrol, SAR, and police dogs).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3. Goldens were bred to retreive dead and wounded fowl to the hunter after it has been shot, they are also used as service dogs. &lt;u&gt;Jobs: Backpacking, Biking, Swimming, Agility, farm doggy, amature goat herder (not that he has any instinct for it lol), trick. We hope to add Canine Good Citizen to the list soon, too. =)&lt;/u&gt;&lt;p&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Frankie&lt;/b&gt;-&lt;i&gt;Bull Terrier X Jack Russell Mix&lt;/i&gt;- Bull Terriers were used to hunt vermin, and fight other dogs. Many people outcross bull terriers to other breeds like wolfhounds to make pig hunting dogs. Jacks were bred to kill rodents and such.
&lt;u&gt;Killing an all manner of small birds, rats, and turtles. Professional stuffed Artic fox hunter. Fetches and basic obedience pretty well. &lt;/u&gt;&lt;p&gt;

&lt;b&gt;Hamm&lt;/b&gt;-&lt;i&gt;Labrador Retreiver&lt;/i&gt;-Bred as service dogs and to retreive dead fowl to hunter in cold water and weather.
&lt;u&gt;Fetches like a pro. &lt;p&gt;Chocolate Labrador - originally bred for retrieving nets, his line is has a lot of field hunters&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What he does now - Monroe&amp;#39;s agility days are over but he is an all round fantastic companion and he is REALLY good at getting that toy that we keep &amp;quot;dropping&amp;quot; in the lake.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Morrison&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;German Shorthaired Pointer - bred to be an all round hunting dog (pointing and fetching in land and water)&lt;/p&gt;
