Hello everyone my name is John Trainor I am an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer. I am 20 years old and I live in Manahawkin, New Jersey. The name of my dog training company is John's Gentle and Effective Dog Training I use only gentle methods when training dogs. I also have a 4 year old chow mix that is a very good dog.

Coco came to her forever home Sept 15th, 2009. She had previously spent a year at the Vilas County Humane shelter here in Northern Wisconsin. Before that she spent three years chained outside in cold, cold, Northern Wisconsin winters. She had some separation anxiety issues at first but now is adjusting to being in a loving home. Her favorite hobbies include sleeping on the couch, sleeping on my bed, sleeping on the floor, chasing random, imaginary things around the yard, and tearing apart rawhide.

She has converted more then a few people over to the pitbulls are OK camp. She is a sweet, loving dog who wants nothing else but to tromp around the woods sniffing stuff, have her belly rubbed and lick people's faces.

Hi, I'm Cathy & am new here today with my 2 dogs DJ & Coco.

DJ is supposed to be a boston terrier/minpin mix. He's a little over a year & 1/2 & he's been with me since he was 10 weeks old. He's a very good little guy & weighs around 15 lbs.

We adopted Coco from the local weimaraner rescue this May & were told she's weim/GSP mix & was about 18 months old at that time. She has severe separation anxiety & we are trying to deal with that. Other than the SA she has just been such a good, sweet girl.

I had to put my loving companion of 15 years to rest this April. George, an Australian Shepherd & he set the bar pretty high for any dogs coming into the family after him.

Hubby & I own a grooming salon/doggy boutique so I'm fortunate to be able to take my dogs to work with me - or UNfortunate, depending on the day!

We just joined today, so I'm still figuring out how to navigate this site & work all the tools but I'm looking very forward to getting to know everyone & your dogs!

New to Dog . and looking for snapshots of dogs to paint

Hi! May name is Elaine and I have three dogs and two cats. A dozen squirrels and rabbits in the yard. Everybody coexisting with a few games of "Who can run faster?"

I retired from corporate life (after a layoff) and picked up college brushes to relearn oil painting. This was a big deal after 26 years. First, I painted my dogs. Then I painted a couple of girlfriend's pets...now painting other people's dogs is my passion. January 13, 2010 I will enter the 24th Annual Art Show at the Dog Show, a national juried fine arts competition. Last year I won best in show depicting dog in agility on a painting I did of a girl friend's dog. I believe my paintings are best when I either know the dog or have stories about the dog from their owner.

So...I'm asking you, the dog lovers on Dog.community to help me. Send me snapshots (not professional photographs) of your dogs to me and let's see if we can create a winner in the art show.

Hello everyone. I'm Brittany and I'm 22 years old and from Kentucky. My husband and I have 3 pets. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat. We have a Boston Terrier/Mini Pinscher (although we think that's either wrong or there is more than those two breeds) named Rocky. He's around 10 months or so, not exactly sure how old he is. We bought him off a woman in Indiana who was moving and had to get rid of him. My sister and brother-in-law have two pit-bulls that recently had 12 puppies two weeks ago and we are taking one of them. I want to name him Bristol. Our cat's name is Zorro and he is a tabby cat that is close to a year old.

Powder is an 8 yr old German Shepherd. She is fun, loving, and energetic. Recently Powder was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm Rachael, and my dog Jacob are excited to get some advice and opinions from other dog owners. He is almost 3 years old, and is a doberman pinshcer/ rat terrier cross. I am a college student, but Jacob lives the life of a farm dog. We live on the farm where I board my horse, and he gets to live a life most dogs dream of. Accompanying me on trail rides, rolling in dirt, chasing cats, swimming in creeks.... he is a happy guy I like to think! But he is very headstrong and high energy, and I have lots of questions for people who are used to dealing with wiley terriers like this! Here are some pictures of my boy:

Wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm very excited to be here with fellow dog lovers. I tell ya, some people just don't get it! Anyway, we currently have five rescues--two of which are dogs.

Beringer (Bearsy) is my newfie/lab mix and Bella is a beagle/english setter mix--just picture a beagle on stilts. They are both senior citizens and I look forward to advice on supplements, food recommendations, etc.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site and super excited! I've been looking for a non-judgemental site, that is open to all sorts of dog issues and such! I'm the proud mommy of Ruby Sue, a 1 year old red nosed pit, and Stewie, a 4 month old American Bulldog/pit mix! I love the pit breed, and am a big fan of anything pitbull. I don't condone any sort of fighting or "bulking up" or pits...it's great to find this site b/c most of the pit sites all talk about supplements and junk like that!

I am super interested in canine nutrition, I'm really big on grain free diets, and natural foods...although my dogs do get treats that are kind of junky like Beggin Strips and Pup-peroni's. I try to find a balance! LOL!

Ruby and I are currently working on begining agility...which she seems to enjoy quite a bit as well!

I live in Rockford, IL, near the Wi border...so am getting ready for winter with my little 4 legged friends.

Just wanted to say hi!

Hi everybody! I've posted a little about Miley already, but I suppose I will formally introduce us!

My name is Cate and my lil pocket rocket is Miley. I just adopted Miley really recently, so we're still getting to know each other...but she is an AWESOME pup.

Before my divorce I had two dogs: A black lab/rotti mix named Mac and a boxer mix named Zeus, whom passed away a little over a year ago. Mac still lives with my ex in Oregon. I live in Ohio and adopted Miley from a local labrador rescue group. They estimated her to be about 6 months old, but I think that she may be closer to four or five months.

Anyways, Miley and I are looking forward to getting to know all of you!

our family lives in North Central Ind. we have beagles. we show in conformation , bench shows & field trial in UKC,AKC & ARHA.

we strive to breed the Total dog. we want a hound that can hunt & run a rabbit & have correct conformation. we have had many failures but also we are getting to where we want in some of our sucsesses. we just came home from the UKC World Hunt & Bench Show. we did well. Emma almost made the final bench in the Show.

we love our hounds & trsvel with them as a family. my 7 year old daughter is showing in Jr`s & doing well

Hi everyone,

It's nice to find a large dog loving community to become a part of. . .My husband and I have two dogs at the moment, Pudge (7) and Chewy (2) both of them are male Pugs. I love my boys so much, my husbands family thinks we are crazy for treating our dogs like any other family member. To me though they are my children so of course I treat them like family. They both give so much love, how could I not return it? My husband suggested last vacation to kennel them for the week or let his brother watch them and I was like noooooo. So they went to Kentucky with us to see my family. they were very good for the 12 hour car ride there and back! I don't trust many people to watch them lol. . .

Hello. I just typed something like "dog message boards" into google and found this place. I tend to drift on and off of boards, but I enjoy whatever time I spend on them.

I live in Metairie, La with my Dog Rebel. He's an Amstaff/Boxer mix. VERY hyper around other people but just a big old snuggle bunny around me. He's about 100lbs.

I'm looking around for a little sister for him, but I'll post more about that in another forum.

Anyone from around my way? Speak up. I got no friends. Be my damn friend. ;)
