  Re: MC Thursday Reply Contact Am I *old* enough to read this, this morning!!!  Glenda -- stupid infections can happen -- I got cellulitis once after having a cracked heel open up when I was in a motel room.  I was on antibiotics for months. David and I are doing something special tonight -- the Bangles are at the Hard Rock Hotel tonight down near Universal.  The last Thursday of the month they have something they call 'Velvet Sessions' -- more acoustic than pure concert type stuff.  Usually all 80's stuff.  Neither David nor I were major fans but they always seemed to be good musicians and they're all still together so it sounded like it might just be the ticket for something "different".  But given that it's mid-week, I have to take part of the afternoon off so I can leave the dogs properly cared for and then zoom back down there.  Will letcha know if I leave there "walking like an Egyptian". LOL

  Re: MC Thursday Reply Contact Talked to Sis briefly....she's rather busy with 3 kids at the moment. Jen has to have surgery today.  Should have had it yesterday.  She's on IV fluids since she was so dehydrated they had trouble even starting the IV and massive antibiotics.  She will either have the surgery in the hospital, or be transported by ambulance to the surgery center where the original guy will do it. I'll update as I know more. We are actually having a very pleasant day today.  It's really overcast and breezy so the heat isn't kicking my butt for a change. A house without fur is not a home.   Re: MC Thursday Reply Contact Wow, ya know, you wouldn't think it'd be too difficult to find people to play free golf, now wouldya?  Our company has paid for two foursomes at a golf tournament next Friday, and we are having a tough time finding customers to fill one of them.  We got one filled, but the other one...geez, c'mon, people...Free Golf!! Which reminds me, I have to go to the tourney to man one of the tents we're having there (I know, terrible, right, lol).  I have to be there early, and it is also the day I have to "hit the button" for the Halloween Swap.  So, I will do my darndest to remember to do it before I leave the house that morning.  I will have to put sticky notes all over my house that say, "Hit The Button!"  LOL.   ~Heather~

  Re: MC Thursday Reply Contact  Glenda I can't believe your niece is having such trouble. Good thoughts for her and her kids today. I was hospitalized a few years ago for a week and it was hard on everyone, but my oldest son acted out terribly and gave my mom such a hard time...he later told me he was afraid I was going to die, poor thing. And speaking of kids, I miss mine. We have year round school here and they're on fall break right now in florida with my ex. The first few days are always kinda fun, but I'm ready for them to be back now. DH had to drive to south Ga today and I'm off work and bored bored bored. I don't even want to clean anything because the housekeeper is coming Saturday and I'm trying not to clean before she gets here. DH is laid off next week, and I really want to go visit my sister for 4-5 days in Boston. I've looked on all the regular sites (orbitz, travelocity, expedia, etc.) and they all are around $500. I found one site that said they had last minute deals, but the departure cities were limited.
