Anyone know a good recipe for homemade BBQ sauce... I was thinking of doing BBQ chicken tonight Smile

    Re: BBQ sauce?

Being a rather lazy creature of habit, I've not tried this recipe myself, but it's the one my Dad used to make.....and considering he's been gone for 32 years I don't remember it.

    1 C catsup

    1/3 C worschester

    1 tsp chili powder

    1 tsp salt

    2 dashes hot saucetobasco

    1 1/2 C water

combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.

    Re: BBQ sauce?

Here's one we used to use for chicken or ribs.  I bottle of French or Catalina salad dressing, 1 bottle low sugar jelly (raspberry, peach or orange marmalade) and about 1/2 envelope of Lipton onion soup mix.  Then just add a bit of whatever else you have in the cupboards:  mustard, teriyaki or soy sauce, steak sauce, etc.  It's never quite  the exact same way twice, but it's always good.
