    Peeing from excitement?

Having a little trouble with our Stella....when I come home from work or wherever....I come into the house.....I am calm and casual...I don't make a big deal out of her....I kinda ignore her for a few minutes....and as soon as I reach down to pet her....she pees.

She could have JUST been outside 5 minutes early to pee and she still pees.  She doesn't do this with my husband, but he is home with her all day.  He thinks she's just so excited to see me that she pees.

    Thoughts on what to do?

Ignore her longer. No eye contact, no loud greeting. Nothing. Maybe wait 10 or 15 minutes- really- before patting her. She isn't calm enough for you to pat her if she's still peeing.

Why not let her out YOURSELF and pet her out there.  She may get so anxious knowing you'll be home soon that she doesn't concentrate on doing what she should.  At my house nobuddy gets 'petted' until they're outside.

We have done that as well....my husband will have her in the yard when I get home....I pat her...she pees!  Which is fine outside in the grass!!!
