    Getting firm Poo

Everytime we take our dogs to boarding, they come home with soft poo.  It could be the stress or that I usually give the boarder Evanger's canned food to mix with their kibble.  At home they usually get homecooked as a mix in.  I thought Evangers is good quality and close to what we cook here.   Anyway, how long does it usually take to get back to normal.  Sam was normal in just a couple days but it's been over a week for Maggie.  I have her on chicken and rice now trying to help firm it up.  It's firm in the backyard now, but not on our walks.  Starts out good but ends up mushy.  Sorry if that's TMI.  Should I try pumpkin too?

Pumpkin works great here, and also sometimes boiled chicken and white rice will help.

Well, I've been thru soft poo and beyond for many years here and rice doesn't work for all dogs.  Since it's been a week, what I would try is to just fast her for a day or close to a day and then start her back on small meals of her regular food and see how she does.
