  Ummm, yeah, high-speed internet is only good if... Reply Contact  It actually works.  Tuesday morning DH emailed our ISP from his blackberry because our home internet wasn't working.  "Yes" they said, "we're upgrading to a 24MB line, it should be back soon." Er...no.  MOST people got theirs back, but we and a handful of others...did not.  And it took the engineers a few days to figure out why - I still don't know why, I didn't ask DH what they said, but at least they've fixed it now.   Aaagh.   Kate - Dog.community Administrator Jokers to the right. www.lumosmaremma.com - a dog blog about raising a Maremma in a city.

Reply Contact  LOL Kate.  I hate it when we have problems with our internet.  Tyler used to be a tech for Verizon so whenever there's an issue he's on the phone STAT calling whoever and he turns into a complete tyrant.  And he tells everyone what they have to do, makes them check this and that, basically tells them their job and does it in this totally condescending manner, I feel sorry for the tech on the other end.  BUT  he usually manages to get it fixed. Reply Contact  LOL Candace...my DH does that too, he works in IT, his main focus is information security, but he's worked his way up from a junior tech support person 12 years ago to the high-level stuff now, so he knows the ins and outs and he can be less than patient explaining problems to people.  Our ISP are great (in fact the owner just called me to personally apologise) but this wasn't their fault, it was the phone company upgrading the line and they messed it up.  Kate - Dog.community Administrator Jokers to the right. www.lumosmaremma.com - a dog blog about raising a Maremma in a city.

Reply Contact I hate those problems too.  I hate calling Comcast with a passion.  They talk to me like they actually think I understand anything they're saying. I just wait until one of the boys shows up and make them do it. Joyce
