    Mindless chatter TGIF

OK, I really DO need a vacation.  If it's not the people in my life acting wierd, it's the critters!

The cats gave me unholy, unmitigated grief because I dared to come into the bathroom this morning without their wet.  Gee, sometimes I can't wait the minute or two it takes to get it ready and they can deal with that!  Nope, despite giving them their dry to divert their attention, there I sit, trying to do my thing with three cats telling me off.  Sigh.

Then, I come back out here to GET their wet and discover Theo hiding under  the table with the whole BOX of tissues, pulling them out by the mouthful to destroy.  Shadow is sitting in the chair at the computer scarfing down my coffee and someone had peed all over the kitchen floor.  Of course someone had also gone into the bathroom and dumped the trash all over the floor before I got back there.  The cats open the door to nag, the dogs slip in and make messes.....luckily it's really a lot of work for them to get to the cat box since I use clumping litter.  Don't really need anyone obstructing.

I think I'm just gonna forget drinking coffee and have an IV line hooked up so I can mainline it!

Did I fall into a time warp?  This IS April, right?  We are getting a wintry mix today and then Sunday supposed to get actual ACCUMULATION!  Ummmmm, I was done with winter back in mid-January.......this has gotta be some sort of sick cosmic joke.

But....did finally get to replace two of the 3 RV batteries.  Now I can use my generator again.  I think I'm going to have DS pull the engine one though and take it back to Sears to be replaced.  Now, with two fresh batteries I can turbo charge and start the RV, but, all winter we've had to jumpstart the darned thing and a less than year old battery should NOT need constant charging.  We are plugged into shore power, we run this thing very regularly, even when we had to jump it to do so, and there is no reason for it to die so soon.  Since it's still under warranty, they'll give him a new one.

Well, shoot.  Just looked out the window and realized that roomie didn't take the trash can out last night.  Guess I'd best get it out.

I certainly hope everyone else has had a great morning!

Well, I was coming here to complain, but after that Glenda, I'm not sure I have the right!  LOL!  Really my morning wasn't that bad...at least it hasn't been yet.  We shall see.

Right now I'm off to work...again.  yesterday went reasonable well, all things considered.

Oh man, I'm so glad this week is over.  There is a nasty bug making the rounds here and I had 3 out of 5 of my Admins. out sick and to top it off, Mr. W got it too.  So work like crazy all day to get everything done, and come home to Mr. W's whining.  Fun stuff.

    Tonight is:

    Me

    the couch

a couple (well maybe a few would be more correct) ice cold Corona's

    a  pepperoni pizza

    and Slumdog Millionaire

Hope everyone has a great weekend !!!

Glenda, you really do need a vacation.  Hitch a ride to Texas and you can stay with me and we'll BS each other about the good old days. LOL

I had so many things go sour at work yesterday that today can't possibly be anything but better.  I hope I don't have to eat those words.  I need to get some new sneakers for my trip to AZ  and maybe a few other things.  Yesterday was so incredibly windy here and I left my car windows cracked a little and now the inside of my car is covered in a fine dust.  If it were a newer vehicle I would spend hours cleaning it out but I'll maybe vacuum and wipe it out and call that good.  We bought one of those automated cat litter boxes last night.  DH got a wild hair ever since he heard about them (he doesn't realize they have been around for a while) and has been wanting one ever since.  The poor guy was cussing the assembly instructions last night as he put it together.  He's going to be mighty upset if the cat won't use it but this morning I saw that it had been used.  We are doing it by the book and our cat is pretty laid back so it shouldn't be a problem.  I  never wanted to spend the money but he is all about gadgets......

Deb, bring all that stuff here and we could have a blast.  Pick up Glenda and Candace on your way.  Leave Mr.W at home and the couch, I have both of those already. LOL

    Re: Mindless chatter TGIF

I honestly need a break from... everything.

Buying a house is truly way more work than it needs to be.  And some folks involved are driving me crazy.  If we can manage to straighten it out and still go forward, our closing is only 4 weeks from today.  So the torture has an end in sight, perhaps!

Work is also just blah.  One of the bosses randomly makes snarky comments, which irritate all of us at various points, but to tell you the truth I don't think he realizes what he says.  But, you never know if he really means exactly what he says, or not.  Frustrating.

Glad it's Friday though!  Get to spend my weekend working on class stuff, packing and working on more class stuff. And maybe some cleaning.  But, at least I can sleep in :)

I stayed up waaay too late last night reading a good book and thought that my morning wasn't going so well.  Then Morrison pulled this through-the-window-totally-amazing-looking-dog point that I got a bad picture of (see photo thread) that cheered me up.

Tonight, just me and the rest of that book.  Just a day of work to get through.

Oh, Glenda, I hope you get a vacation soon!  It sounds like you definitely have serious relaxation time coming to you!

I'm off today....and it's such a beautiful thing.  This work week has been ridiculous, and I'm so excited to be free for a day.  Even more exciting, DH and I are going to look at pianos today!  I haven't played much since leaving school, and I'm so excited to be looking for a piano of our own!

Can I come too?!  I could make cookies??  Double chocolate chunk!

I am so glad it is Friday.  This weekend is going to be a whirwind.  We have an Easter Egg hunt tomorrow at church, then I have to start packing up everyone and have mounds of laundy.  Not to mention the Final Four NCAA tourney is in Detroit so we are hoping to go down and partake in the festivities.

DH is a little bummed.  We were able to buy tickets to the games because we have Lion's season tickets (reward for being stupid enough to buy the Lion's tickets).  Anyway, I convinced him to sell them since we could use the money to actually pay for the Lion's tickets and use the rest for vacation.  Well, now that MSU is in the tournament he is regretting it a little.  He's glad we made the extra $$, but a little bummed.  I figure going to a downtown bar to watch the game would either cheer him up or bum him out more.

    Have a good weekend everyone!

     :::grumble grumble grumble:::

I am in a cranky mood today.

They "fixed" my piercing last night.  We went in early and the owner was going to do it.  But they didn't have 2 16g hoops that were exactly the same size so he did the BFs piercing and then autoclaved (the thing they do to make the jewelry and tools sterile) 2 hoops for me.  Well that takes about 2 hours.  When we came back the other piercer was in so he did them instead of the owner.  I wish the owner would have done it, b/c he is 'measure happy' and makes sure everything is spaced perfect.  The other piercer uses the jewelry to mark where it should lay.  Well, this morning I noticed they're not the same hieght!  One comes in *just* below my lip and the other is exactly on the lip line.  Measuring wise its a very minor difference.  But that tiny little difference makes the rings lay differently.  So now I have one ring standing straight, like its supposed to and one that lays all the way over to the side Crying.  Technically both of them are supposed to be laying over b/c the rings are too big but my lip is swollen and that's why one is stay vertical (that's why the rings are big, to leave room for swelling).  I'm upset and I feel like it looks dumb.  The BF says I'm over reacting and no one will notice.  Yea maybe they won't notice that the holes aren't level but its very obvious that they are not laying the same one, I mean it doesn't take much to see that one ring is vertical and one ring is laying sideways.  I'm sure once its healed and I can put in smaller rings it will be fine, but that is weeks from now.

I was supposed to go get my new license tomorrow, not happening.  I don't want a picture on my license for 4 (or however many) of my piercing looking bad.  Maybe a bit vain, but oh well.

Have I mentioned that I'm not happy?  And maybe I am over reacting a bit, since I know when I can put in smaller rings it will be fine, but daggone it, this is my face, and I don't want to go around for weeks with this jacked up piercing.

Oh and then I got to work and found out the model I did yesterday was wrong b/c the person I was doing it for told me 1) the wrong model to do and 2) the wrong connection to change.   :::grumble:::

Is it lunchtime yet?  Or even better time to go home?  I'm certainly not pleasant to be around right now.

    </ end whine

    Steph:

Isn't this the second time you've had this piercing done?  Maybe you should let them heal up and try another shop or something.

Steph, I don't blame you a bit for being unhappy.  What a crock that the guy couldn't be bothered to measure carefully.
