I'm happy with just Max, but I wouldn't mind at all having a second dog.  I'd want a female since I've heard the male/female mix is better than two same sex dogs regarding fighting, and she'd have to be a perfect fit with Max ... and be able to use the doggy door easily which means she'd have to be close to the same size Max is, not a lot smaller or a lot bigger.

I love having a pack. To me a lot is size related. 5 papillons is not very hard. We've had up to 6 dogs and it was doable but a bit much at times. That said right now I'm in an apartment so my two girls are my limit. Eventually when I move out I'll be adding a border collie. I think 2 paps and a bc will be my limit while I'm living alone.

Papillons- You can't just have one

I LOVE having more than one, but as I age I will probably pare down for financial and logistical reasons.  I never want to be in the position of not being able to care for them all.

I would love, love, LOVE to have another Golden for Maggie to play with, but we don't have the space, so Maggie has to settle for the unofficial play group that unofficially meets in the baseball field across the street. Big Smile

Geez I dont see how I missed this one.

Hmm my limit would be 6. Only because Cheyanne, Lillie, and Kujo are very easy keepers and most of the time we dont even count Kujo.Stick out tongue Having 2 show dogs is expensive though when it comes to entering shows. Luckily for me Fynn's breeder grooms him for shows and her daughter handles Joker for free because she's in love with him. It helps too that none of my guys have any health or behavioral problems.

JJ was talking the other day about getting another Vizsla. I ran away with my hands over my ears.Big Smile The boys are both a year old and I want a 2-3 year difference between them and the next dog we get!

I could never have 1 dog. Love having at least 3 dogs.
