    Ace is officially Gay!!

Before i had my female boxer spayed- ace was never interested in her at all- I just figured he thought of her as a mom thats why he would never try (not that i wanted him to). Well I went to Kimberly's last nite and we let the dogs play in the house together- well I found out y he was never interested in athena- he is gay and likes redheads!!!!!!!  He was humping Fynn the whole time we was there- he never messed with lilly or joker- just fynn- poor joker was humping ace but ace had nothing to do with him. Does anyone else have a dog that prefers the same sex????

Probably not a gay thing, more of a dominance display.  Years ago, I had a female spayed GSD x that would occasionally hump my female spayed husky.  I doubt animals view sexuality as we do, it's more of a survival/reproduction thing.

Humping is NOT NOT NOT a "sexuality" thing at all (and honestly you will heartily offend a good many people saying it is!)  It's dominance, pure and simple.  Any dog that 'humps' another dog is merely trying to be dominant.  It may happen within any sex (m/m, m/f, or f/f, or f/m) and it can occur with dogs that are intact or not, it's simply that dog's way of saying "I'm boss over you".

Occasionally a dog will help mentor or 'parent' another dog lower in pack status, but even that is rare because they just don't view sexualty or "parenting" as we do.   The dominant male/female in a pack may work together to help protect junior or lesser pack members but you can't jump to human roles and assume something like that -- a dog that isn't targeted for humping - either that dog is already being submissive or he may respect that dog's position in the pack.

I've heard that (while very uncommon) animals do show homosexuality tendencies.

Diesel does that same thing too. Only with males, and I have jokingly say he is gay, but I know it's just dominance in his case.
