What'd your dog get for Christmas?

I'm sure most of you got your dogs Christmas presents this year... that's just the kind of peeps we are :o)  So what'd Santa stuff down the chute for your loyal friend?

Nik insists on unwrapping her presents herself, it cracks me up to see her take her loot over to a private area and unwrap it.  She received a bag of mini-tennis balls (her favorite) peanut butter flavored, a telephone stuffy (which she delights in dragging around by the receiver end) and several of her favorite chew bones.

Logan loves to destroy and dig through everyones stuff and through wrapping paper. And like a true boy grabs the long wrapping paper tubes (with or without paper still on it) and runs around with it like a prize.  He got a giant dinosaur bone, an orbee balls and a teddi-dog I've named Sam.  It's a full sized stuffed animal, bigger than Nikki.  I wasn't sure what he'd do with it.  Turns out he's suckling it.  He carries it around, finally lays down and gets just right and nurses Sam's head.  As far as "perfect gifts" I made a homerun with Sam!

They've received gifts from their doggy friends, too, including a mini-orbee ball, for Nik and a Remington stuffy camo boot for Logan from their best weimaraner buddies. Grandma and Grandpa got them stuffies and tennis balls and the family will be over with more, I'm sure, tomorrow.

    SPOILED DOGS!! :)

Let's hear how your dogs made out this Christmas!

Re: What'd your dog get for Christmas?

Well.... Emma got a fox Skinneez (it's a stuffie with no stuffing! but he has two squeakers and is great for tug, and she's a fox dog, LOL), a three pack of Kong squeaker balls, a Premier Bouncy Bone, and a bounty of treats. She also got turkey scraps. She was so excited by opening presents, that she ran over to the tree and grabbed a random gift, and OPENED IT! She opened Ena's presents, too, while Ena spinned around in circles, trying to figure out what was going on (a blonde girl's first Christmas, what can we say? LOL).

Ena got an AKC possum stuffie, two latex squeakies (a hamburger and a chicken), a Loofa Dog cat toy, and a fleece ball. She's a little... silly. She "found" the ball, when Emma was opening everything in the house, and she played with Emma's fox (they grabbed the ends and tuggggggged), but she hasn't "found" the other toys, yet.

Tomorrow's another day, with new toys, I'm sure.

Re: What'd your dog get for Christmas?

All the dogs each get their own set of toy/treat packs.  Each pack has three stuffies, two kinds of treats, and a ball inside.  They also get a bully stick and a marrow bone tomorrow.  And of course, that doesn't include what Grandma will get them!

Ben has the skunk one of those, he LOVES that thing.

Ben's getting a Tuffies alligator toy and a big bag of treats, plus his new collar was a present I gave him 2 weeks ago because I couldn't wait LOL.  He'll get spoiled rotten by the "grandparents" no doubt.

They got way more presents than I did, and that's just how I like it.  Big Smile  Toys, food items, clothing, and a couple of fancy shampoos and other "girlie" things, and, of course, the last lap of mom's coffee on Christmas morning.

Laughing and agreeing!  The pile of dead stuffies is pretty big and the dogs are napping now that all the stuffing is cleaned up!

Re: What'd your dog get for Christmas?

Kya got a kitten (Kya has a strong affection for cats having been raised with one, so the adopted kitten is partly for her), two new squeeky toys, and her favorite bone.  Her one present that she got early is a harness embroidered with her name and a matching leash.

Chloe got a fleece blanket, new pajamas (she gets cold so easily), a new squeeky, a new bone, and an embroidered harness and leash.  She was also quite pleased to rip up the tissue paper.

It's such fun seeing them love their new stuff!

Oliver got an AKC Toy Breed Collar('cuz there cuter then the cat collars) and it's green with reflective paw-prints, an ID tag *just in case* he gets out, and that has his name and my cell number. And, a baggie of cat treats.

Isabeele got an AKC Toy Breed Collar too, her's is mutlipule shades of pink stripes, with an ID tag too, her name, my cell number. And, a baggie of cat treats.

we let ours open the gifts. They love ripping wrapping paper up and playing with boxes. Otherwise we don't give them anything special other than a big bowl of turkey and sweet potatoes.

Casey got a cat-nip mouse Embarrassed well... it really wasn't for him, but he stole it from the cats. I have a bag of his favorite treat-bones that I've been saving for him, he'll get one today. My brother got him a raw-hide-beef-basted-bone too, not sure if he'll eat it or not but we'll give it a try!

Everyone enjoyed the cheese/crackers and pigs in blankets last night too =]

Re: What'd your dog get for Christmas?

Well my mom got him a wubba which he nearly destroyed in seconds but I saved it after he ripped open the top part and took off pieces of the tennis ball inside Confused Bugsy, Bugsy, Bugsy.  Anyway he loves it and carried it back from our field play session yesterday over two miles. He was walking tall I think he considered it a duck LOL

I bought him one of the wet wubbas but we'll save that for a lake trip

He got some giant santa biscuits and some beef treats

He got an everlasting fun ball (the green one) and seems happy with that

a friend got him a pack of six Christmas tennis balls but I am not sure what to do with them because they are too small for him

another friend sent a collar that has a partial bandanna built in that says Kamikaze dog - perfect!

And he did steal one of DH's gifts and unwrapped that.  He also tore lots of paper into bits and destroyed several boxes

No stuffies this year - we've discovered than an old t-shirt is a better tug/tear up toy and a whole lot cheaper

Donate them to the shelter :)

Pirate opened his gingerbread house from Cita and Rascal from SS. He was VERY thrilled with THREE new toys plus a house for them :) He'll have turkey dinner tonight, too.

Ben has one of them.  Good toy. :)

Ben's happy with his Christmas loot but what he really really wants is one of my After Eights.  No! Mine!

being the evil doggie mom that I am I put a piece of this santa biscuit in it that did not fit out of the holes, no way no how, and I was convinced that I would have to take it out because it was hard as a rock, but after much effort he somehow managed to get it out.  Anything that takes him nearly 10 minutes to do is an EXCELLENT toy in my book!  And it was fun to watch him do all his normal kong/orbee/ etc tricks with no success

Ben there will be NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO after eights for you - but um Kate could I have one?
