What kind of dogs do your partners like? JJ is so weird. Weird because of the variety of the breeds he likes. I'll also add that my son likes mixed breeds and terrier types, and my daughter likes Chihuahuas and Poms. Reply Contact Tell DH to run from the Komondor unless he knows a really awesome breeder.  A friend has one as a pet and he's got issues, and she's really into the breed and says that all the pet bred lines have problems, with temperament particularly. Reply Contact Well, ask DH his favorite and he will usually say whatever breed he saw last!  He often mentions Beagles, Boxers, Pit Bulls, and Pugs.  The only one I veto is the Pug!  He is really the perfect candidate for a shelter/rescue dog though, because often when he likes a breed is for the wrong reasons and he doesn't care that much anyway, hence why we got Coke whose mix is anyone's guess! http://vankelderdogs.dutchbingo.net http://www.schhmi.com

Reply Contact I didn't even need to ask DH.  He likes mutts.  Preferably ones from a shelter.  I've taught him well. :o) RE: Papillons.  Don't kid yourself.  They are not all little foofy, lap tumors.  They can be quite active, some make great agility dogs, obedience dogs, therapy, assistance dogs.  They can pretty much do anything except personal protection. From my understanding the breed is extremely guardy (and I suspect that is how they are supposed to be?), not really a great pet bred to begin with.
