    Taste of the Wild.

I am *thinking* of trying this our, for my dog who is allergic to grain. Yes, she has grain allergies and I just figured this out! After 2 years ..

Anyways. Does anyone know how much of this stuff you feed a 90 pound dog? She eats about twice a day and when I was feeding her "regular" store bought food, she was getting about 2 cups, twice a day.

    Any ideas? :)

For my two, I never adjusted the amount.  Regardless of what I feed them (except fresh) they get 1 cup 2x daily. Being on TOTW, their weight hasn't gone up or down so I leave it as it is.  They are both 60#.   Hope this helps  :)

    Re: Taste of the Wild.

I have two dogs that weigh about 70 -75 lbs.  Because the kcals per cup is so low... under 400,  I have to feed them a cup and 1/4  to a cup and 1/2 whereas most other foods I only have to feed them a cup when the kcals are in the 475 per cup range.  I'm switching off this food because it gives my dogs really soft goopy stools :(   There are plenty of other grain-free foods out there .... Solid Gold - Barking at the Moon,  Canine Caviar - Split Pea and Venison, Innova EVO,  Nature's Variety - Instinct,  Wellness - Core,   Orijen , Merrick - Before Grain,  Petcurean - GO ! and NOW !  and one by Fromm that I can't remember the name of and Timberwolf  - Wild 'n Natural or Ocean Blue.

    Re: Taste of the Wild.

unless you know the kcal per cup of the prior food no one can answer your question. Taste of the wild is really quite expensive per Kcal so if that's a concern to you you might want to try a different grain-free food. Evo reduced fat is a bargain per kcal compared to Taste of the wild. My dogs did not do well on taste of the wild but that falls into "individual results may differ" category.
