Well, I never in my life heard of anything so silly in all my life!  And I love the "conversation" between the lady and the cops.  that was just to cute.  And you dog has every right to "glare" at someone out of his own house if he wants to.    Something must be wrong with that "girl" if she is upset over a dog looking out a window in her direction.  Actually I doubt if he was really paying any attention to her at all.

It's not like their daughter is very young either...she's in her late 30's, maybe early 40's. So, she's defiantly not a child here.

OH, wow!! I would have guessed she was a snoody college kid the way she's acting...

you should buy a bunch of stuffed dogs and place them so they are "glaring" out ALL the windows at these freaks.

Please don't think that I do not feel your upset I totally do, we have neighbors who's kids run amuck along our privacy fence and when our dogs bark , which does not happen often,  the parents, grandparents get snarky...... and the "great " news is school is out this week so I have 3 months of the little skateboarding , scooter riding, smart mouth monsters to deal with   sigh

BUT >>>> This person must have soome real issues that the parents are having trouble coming to terms with.  At that age to be freaked out is strange enough but why on earth is SHE looking in your window?  call me odd but I can not remember the last time I looked into the window of any one else's home unless I was looking for someone who was yelling my name.......

She may have mental issues, possibly a recent tragedy or problem with drugs etc... it is hard to know when they only show up for a few months. That the parents are taking this hard and confrontational attitude tells me they are dealing with something not just over thier head BUT embarassing too. They must be hoping by blustering and being snarky you will vanish into the woodwork and the issue with thier daughter will "go" away.  It won't...next thing you know you may be cutting your grass to early or your sprinkler may wet their car ... people in crisis often pick at the most absurd common place things just to feel in control.

I am not advocating you make your dog's life change to any degree that makes him unhappy. I am suggestion you understand IF the above turns out to be the case it will escalate.  If they are hurting because of things they can not control then they will , sorry but 99.9% of the time , take it out on someone they do not feel they need to deal with as family, friends, employers or employees.  Try very hard to keep a pleasant attitude,  make sure your boy is not ever allowed out without you and possibly after the newness of being at the summer place wears off there will be an opening when you can once again offer to introduce the dog and family.   If it doesn't happen, it is NOT your fault, just be careful and mark the days till they return to where ever it is they come from.....

Oh good gawd.  I'd tell the princess to get over it.  I have a different conversation going on in my head:

Mom: "hello, I'd like to report a peeping Tom."

Officer: "can you describe the person, ma'am?"

Mom: "Well, er, he's black with a huge black nose, brown eyes"

Officer: "Ma'am is he currently there watching you?"

Mom: "Yes, he is.  Can you please come over & take care of this for me it's really freaking out the Princess?"

    Officer: "We'll be right over"

The cops show up.  Apollo is so happy to see them he stand at the window smiling & wagging his tail.  You get the rest of the story.  :o)

I'll admit it- he is a major "peeping Tom"! Stick out tongue

No really though, he loves to people watch from inside the house. Especially if someone is there that usually isn't, like a landscaper. He doesn't bark or anything, but his head is window sill high so sometimes he will stand there a "peep"!!

He is on the wrong side of the screen to be a "peeping Tom".  He is merely a king quietly surveying his domain.

True...all I can visualize is the king lion from Disney's the Lion King, checking out the savannah...and Apollo thinks he's like that! Big Smile
