    Prayers/Good vibes needed (military related)

Prayers, warm wishes, and great doggie vibes are needed for my boyfriend, Jake.He was shipped off to boot camp (Army) last Thursday. He went to Ft Benning, GA for infantry training.
His training goes until October, and they say (with the job he's doing) he'll probably be deployed sometime in December- if not sooner.

Just keep him in your thoughts and prayers. And me? I'm a basket case, so I could use some good thoughts too.

I am waiting by the mailbox, hoping to get a letter soon. (although I know it'll take a few weeks, but you never know!)

Daisy Sky- December 2002- January 2008.
    Candy Marie- December 1991-November 2003
    Waiting patiently at the bridge.

Man, I know how hard this can be but whatever you're going thru will be 10x worse for him. When my husband (now ex) joined the AF, I cried for days. He had it so much worse though. Not only was he homesick, but they don't exactly treat them like guests Stick out tongue. I wrote a card or letter every single day and I think it helped a lot. Hang in there. It seems like forever, but it'll go by fast.

When my husband (now ex) joined the AF, I cried for days....quote

When my son went into the Marines, I did the same thing.  He was in Boot Camp over Christmas and I couldn't bear to stay home and made DH take me to Disney World where I could think about something else.  It's hard for everyone, but I truly believe it makes a better man or woman from the experience...stronger and more confident.  And yes, the letters will mean so much to him, so do that often.  Food gifts..I'm not too sure they see much of them, but the thought will be much appreciated.

It will be hard for you also...just keep yourself as busy as possible and know that there will be an end.

And send him thanks for me for wanting to serve his country.  As a military wife, I totally appreciate his commitment of service and commend him for it...and I commend you for your support of him!
