Reply Contact I vacuum my dogs before they come in the house - with a horse vacuum. anyone else do this?? the dirt where I live get SUPER fine & just clings to them  Akyra - 6 yr old border collie - shepard/rott/chow mix Sheba- 12 yr old Rotterman ( rott/dobie) Bella - 11 month mixed breed Amber - 7 yr old poodle mixed with???

Reply Contact i think someone else on here vacuums their dog and their doggy LOVES it! lol i wish i can do that to coco though... that would be totally awesome!  however, she HATES the vacuum.... i cant even vacuum the stairs with her around!  she'll come and attack it repeatedly!  it's kind of funny...but annoying... if your doggy doesnt mind it... i think it's a great idea....lol

Reply Contact  oh believe me it took work to get them to accept it. two of my dogs LOVE it, the other tolerates it.  in my head it makes sense & I think it's keeping my house cleaner.  I changed out the brush on the end - it's a smaller bristle brush rather than the large oval horse brush with plastic teeth.  I'll have to get a pic sometime of one swipe off of Sheba, she's black but her coat is literally covered in dirt that you can see, it makes her black again!! and keeps my carpet from turning brown!   I'm working on making a backyard dog run with either concrete or gravel to help keep them cleaner.   Akyra - 6 yr old border collie - shepard/rott/chow mix Sheba- 12 yr old Rotterman ( rott/dobie) Bella - 11 month mixed breed Amber - 7 yr old poodle mixed with???

He hates the furminator, comb, slicker brush etc so what works best is to use a little hand attachment on the hose and suck that fur right into the vacuum cleaner bag. Makes for a lot less fuzz everywhere.  A tired dog is a happy dog.
