Note to self: choose corner of walls before deadly weapon when deciding what to scratch my back with!  Man, who'd have thought the gun wasn't a good idea?

I guess asking one of his buddies to lend a hand was just wayyyy out of the question.

One drunk man, asking another to scratch him, and there being a gun in the vicinity, in Tx...LOL. That might've made the news in other ways!

Oh wow.. Now that is pretty special...

I have a story that's not quite SO special...namely because he wasn't drunk, he was actually brain damaged..and he didn't use a gun..jesus..

My dad had this accident in his mid-20's, he did some sort of construction work and one time he was helping to unload some huge metal pipes out of a truck when they fell on him, mainly on his head. He was in the hospital a couple weeks, and the first day he was out, my Mom (and btw, they had two daughters under 2 or 3) caught him SHOVING A METAL COAT HANGER IN HIS EAR! Apparently his ear itched, and that's all he could think to scratch it with.. I'd like to say he got better..but he was always kind of dopey..though certainly not coat-hanger-in-the-ear dopey...

I know it seems terrible to make fun of a guy who had a head injury..but...without getting into details..I don't feel bad. Wink

Yeah, but for the Darwin Awards, you actually have to REMOVE yourself from the gene pool! I suspect he shot himself in the butt.  Hmmmm...can you hear those "fish" stories? ROFLLL :Yup, I was shot while getting out of the hot neighbor's bed! The old man grabbed his 44 and BLAM!"  Yep, the gun will get bigger and the wound will be worse as time goes on.

Ah, he was just warming up.  It just shows that he had no brains which is the first step to being a Darwin nominee.  :o)

Will that actually help a guy that would think to scratch his back with a loaded revolver? While many revolvers do not have safeties, the spring action on double action is pretty tough. So, did he have it on single action, which requires a mere finger flick to fire when he was scratching his back? Maybe next time, he'll be scratching his head.
