Hey Moms- How did you spend your Mother's day??

  Hey Moms- How did you spend your Mother's day?? Reply Contact I started my day out with a trip to the dog show with Dana and Dustin my two wonderful kids. My dogs showed much better then the day before and Jackie's sister Polly went winners for her first point!! YAY!!  We left the show and went to breakfast with another friend who was also at the show. Spent the way home stopping at nurseries looking for plants and lawn ornaments...what fun!   Once home we planted our hanging baskets and a pot for an old rocking chair I found with a ratten seat that had a big hole in it, that turned out pretty nice under a tree in the yard. I then received my gift and card, a digital photo frame! I got flowers at work on Thursday too...what GREAT kids I have!!   Lets hear your day! Please Lord if I must lead only one life, let it be at the end of an Am Staff

And to the ones who stated they did not have any kids were wrong. Because in my eyes your kids are your pets and they love you unconditionally so I hope you also had a special Mothers Day. I spent a quiet day at home with my 17 year old daughter and my 21 year old son. My God I feel so old. I think for my birthday I will start going backwards in dog years .

I spent Mother's Day watching the local news for tornado reports in the area, but in late afternoon my son, DIL, and granddaughter brought over a hanging petunia plant for my patio, and we got some BBQ for supper.  And of course I was listening for the phone in case my 2nd granddaughter decided to choose Mother's Day to make her appearance in FL.

Reply Contact Mother's Day was very special this year as it was Riley's birthday...last year we brought her home from the hospital.  My niece's birthday was on Saturday so my sister had her 12th b-day party on Sunday with a brunch etc.  So we were able to get together with the whole family.  After brunch we went home and relaxed.  We ordered some Chinese food (my favorite) but I will have to say it was the grossest Chinese food I have ever had!  Oh well!  After dinner we sang to Riley and did the b-day thing and after she went to bed I went grocery shopping alone...it was WONDERFUL!!! I don't have furless children but I did have a nice day with DH & my boyz.  DH & I went to our usual Sunday breakfast place & then came home & worked in the yard.  Da boyz supervised, smelled the new dirt we were exposing & tasting some of it.  It was lovely.

It was a fun day spending it with the two kids since they seem to be going in different directions now a days..boyfriend for Dana who just turned 26 and a girlfriend for Dustin who will be 20 in Sept is keeping them both out of the house more along with working. I actually have to limit my dog show entries not knowing if they'll be there to show/help!!   Glad to hear the rest of you had good days as well. My Mom is in NM and I sent her flowers and called her, she was up to visit in March but I miss her not being in driving distance now Please Lord if I must lead only one life, let it be at the end of an Am Staff

Reply Contact Slept in til 11:30 b/c I felt like crap (actually didn't sleep much at night, more like 5am-11am), went to my grandpa's to have lunch with fam, cleaned house, went to dog training rally practice group. I did poop pick up in the back yard then took Max for a walk.  I got some pretty jar candles from DS#1 and a gorgeous plant from DS #2.  About 5:00 p.m. I went to the Taqueria for a carton of take-out rice, then took some green chile cheese enchiladas from Costco and some taquitos from Trader Joes out of the freezer and nuked dinner. It was a good day. Joyce
