    I don't either!

Anne and Glenda will surely tell you they've had their finger smack and they'd also been edited when they were out of line...I guess the real thing was that they learned to stop pushing the envelope when others didn't and continued to cross the line, eventually to the point of no return like some members who STILL e-mail asking if they can come back

Ya know Jaime, I only had ONE feeling left and you just walked all over it. Tongue Tied

Actually, being your pet wasn't all that great either. Lots of ignoring undesirable behavior...... And, gosh, I went through the WHOLE rabies series recently.  Do you think they gave me so much as a rabies cert???  NOOOOOOOOO.  And, I was hoping I'd get one of those pretty blue rabies tags too.....Not even the darned piece of paper and the bill for the vaccine along was almost five grand.  Guess it really IS a dogs life.

    Re: Just to be clear

I was getting some stuff out of the back seat of my car not even looking for dogs, and a rottie....wearing a prong AND a flexi....came up behind me and took a large chunk out of my leg.  I think my reaction was "holy spit the dang thing bite me" and of course you need to subsitute the rude words for the polite ones used here......and the gal with him reeled him in FAST and took off running with him.

So, yeah, I got to get the series.  It's truly not bad.....just a series of shots in the rump.  But, the first shots go right INTO the bites and oh yeah, those one hurt like blue blazes.  After that first dose, which also had to go into both checks AND an arm.....lots of vaccine for me.....it was on a schedule....that kept getting further apart.  Those later ones weren't a big deal, but the first ones almost reduced me to tears.

But, yes, I'm fine.  I will have a very ugly scar on the inside "fatty" part of the knee, but, heck, with my crew, I'm always getting a bruise or a scar or something, so not a huge big deal.  The bruising from that bite was pretty darned impressive.....thirteen and a half inches worth of every shade of purple and black you could imagine.

As for achieving your goal....well, I guess I'll just go sit in a corner and sulk.Lightning

WOW!! I'm sorry to hear that....lucky you didn't need stitches. Glad to hear you're OK!!

I always thought that the rabies series were to be given in the stomach, I wouldn't have liked that..I can take a lot but that kinda weirds me out Ick!

Yes, do go sit in your corner and sulk...do I need to get you a chair???

    Re: Just to be clear

Wow.  Somebody needs to take the clippers to those very sharp claws......

Actually both would have taken stitches.  I had to remind the PA at the first visit that "ummm, they don't usually suture dog bites do they?" and then she steri stripped the one on the back of the knee.  And of course when I saw the doc the next day to start the vaccine HE immediately took them off.  With animal bites they really do prefer to leave them open so the bacteria can get out.

Luckily for me they no longer feel the need to administer the shots into the stomach.  Phew.  The ones directly into the bites are bad enough.  Had the ACO that I reported it to not told me that the shots weren't in the stomach I would have been VERY reluctant to even go to the ER.

As for that chair....could I maybe have a nice comfy recliner?  Mine's in storage as there isn't room for it in the RV and I'm really missing it........

That's such a natural look for you.

    I couldn't resist, I am weak.

Don't ya'll know that I am Jaime's favorite? Stick out tongue Nanner, nanner, boo, boo.

I agree about the clique thing. I'm not in a clique but I will agree with someone if I so please, regardless of which "camp" they are in. The only i-dogger I have met in person is Schlep and his beautiful Golden. And I have talked to Jaime once, when trying to fix my email, a year or so ago. So, it's not like we even get together for tea and crumpets.

And may I say 3 cheers for the triumphant return of Jaime, our once and future admin. Don't you dare get sick again or I'll fly back up to the Garden State and tell you so many crappy puns and jokes, you'll get better just to hear me shut up.

Hmm.  Looks like I missed the good stuff too.  I don't cover the entire forum, but honestly, I haven't seen any examples of mods playing favorites or picking on any one.  Whenever a  mod has had to step in, it has been in the "general you" sense, with a caution to remain civil and on topic if the discussion was getting heated or wandering afield.  If someone was being uncivil, well - I guess they knew who they were and maybe took it personally - as well they should.

I've been getting pm's from other members. And I am not blocking anyone and certainly not you.

    Re: Just to be clear

Ron - If I click on your member name (by the avatar or on the board at large), I get the Oops message. In other words, I can't look at your profile or use your username to see contact you.

To PM you, I have to go to a post of yours and click on the contact button on the right side.

(I know this is off topic and I apologize, but so is most of this thread, so I didn't think it would matter).
