    Sophie--My Heart, My Joy

This is to honor my little Sophie Joy.  She went to Rainbow Bridge two years ago after going to the vet for a "simple test". This was five days before her third Birthday.  A life far too short, but so abundantly full.  She was given to me for a special time.  She did not return home, but remains in my heart.

    Sophie--

You were a very special gift given to me by God.

You are an inspiration--A clear picture of love, Unconditional

You are a picture of joy

You are a true love of my life and you were truly loved and will never be forgotten.

When I see the sun and the stars, I'll think of the light you gave my life

When I see the grass, I'll think of the calmness and peace you gave my life

When I see squirrels and birds, I'll think of the excitement you gave my life

When I see a ball, I'll think of the fun you gave my life

When I see a treat or bone, I'll think of the delight you gave my life

When I think upon your eyes, I'll see your passion for life

When I see you, I remember the joy you were for my life

There was no other love like my Sophie's love

The many facets of Sophie shined brighter than any diamond

The joy you gave me will forever shine as the stars in the sky

The love we shared will always live in my heart

You are missed my little girl and you are loved so very much.

I'm so sorry she was taken away from you so suddenly and at such an early age. Your tribute to her is beautiful; it's clear that you still love her very much.

I'm sorry about your sweet Sophie.  They say time heals, but I don't think it does.  The grief just gets somewhat more bearable, yet it is still always there...

It's true - the grief never really goes away - we just manage to tuck it away, deep down and out of our daily consciousness.  I'm so sorry you lost her so young and so unexpectedly.  She was absolutely beautiful.

    Run free, sweet Sophie!

What a beautiful tribute to Sophie.   She was obviously sent to bring a message - I'd bet it was a message to show the true meaning of love.   Her job was done and she went home.  You'll see her again, I'm sure.   But there's no rush - you can each enjoy the time at the place you're at now until the day you're reunited comes.
