May birthdays?

Reply Contact jjsmom06: This will actually make the first year that I can recall where my birthday is not directly around memorial day weekend.   My birthday is the 30th which when I was a kid was Memorial Day, there was a parade and we had a family BBQ - imagine my surprise when they decided to make it the last Monday or whatever it is.  Whoa no parade on my birthday? No everybody is off from work/school?  Bleh!

I was shocked.  Mine is the 29th, so I usually take my birthday off, if not on a weekend, and then I have labor day off of work too so it is like a 4 day birthday weekend.  it is GREAT.. and I had it all planned for us to spend 4 days at the RV in the mountains only to find out a couple weeks ago it is early this year.  SO I feel ya on the no memorial day parade/ off work day!  The Ayn Rand Frequently Revolving Quote: "I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. Reply Contact  Well, mine is the 26th, and this year will be a very sad-happy day of sorts.  Sad because my Hubby will not be here, but happy because my 2nd granddaughter is due to arrive on the 29th (I think she will be early).  And Buffy, my newest Basset Hound, was born on my birthday also, so the 2 of us will celebrate her 5th  birthday and my ?? birthday together!   Ummm...she gets the cake!

My birthday is May 30th too!  That is just too strange!  I have three girlfriends whose b-days are also on the 30th!  Riley's first birthday is next week, the 11th.  I am way more excited for hers than mine though, which completely shocks me since I am a huge, "treat me like a queen it's my birthday" person!
