    Re: Upcoming Agility Trial

Thanks everyone.  And no, I totally don't expect to Q.  I just want the experience of trying.

So this is my list of things I'm bringing.  Is there anything I have forgotton?

    crate

    mat or ground cover

    water and food and bowls

    treats

    chair

    leash and long line

blanket for crate and maybe one for over the crate

    pen and notepad

toys, bone to chew, things to help him stay comfortable from home

    plastic baggies for poop

I am also wondering if it's ok for me to bring people with me.  It sort of got out of control.  Embarrassed  We're actually going to make a whole weekend out of it instead of coming home Saturday and going back Sunday (to save gas money).  So, I had first asked my mom and 13 year old sister.  Then I realized that it was an indoor thing (my mom's allergic to dogs) so I thought my mom would back out, so I asked my aunt to come along.  She thought we should invite my other aunt too, so she doesn't feel offended that we didn't ask.  So now there are 5 of us going.  Will that be a problem?  I feel kind of silly with that many of us going for one tiny little dog, but we will be there all weekend.

    Thanks again!

    Re: Upcoming Agility Trial

I would recommend telling them to bring a book.  ;)  If you've only got one run then you all may get bored.  Well if you're anything like me, *you* won't but they might.  It's fun for non-agility people for a couple of runs and that's about it.

If anyone has a video camera, bring that and film your run.  And your instructor's, so you can compare notes and watch things again.  It's totally different running it then when you can stop and watch it on TV.  ;)
