    In Memory- member babsT/Ovcharkagirl

Her name IRL was Barbara Tassinari,

Those who are new will perhaps not know this member, but many will...

She was a very sweet person who loved her dogs immensely and knew so much about her breed. Her life was tragically taken, police have her husband in custody for the shooting. She leaves behind her two children, and many people both on and offline who loved her. The article if one wants to read it, is here, be warned the entire situation is VERY VERY UPSETTING:

    ARTICLE

Here is a thread she made here last year showing her dogs Chara, Zero, and Chewbacca. I believe at the time of her death she owned a French Bulldog puppy as well.

    THREAD WITH PHOTOS

These links will each have some insight into how much she loved her dogs, and her family...

    TRAINING SITE TESTIMONIAL

    YOUTUBE LINK

I am trying to find information on a charity, or place we can send donations or flowers or cards if anyone here would like to. I will update this thread when that information is available.

Thank you all for sharing the grief with me and our entire forum family. Hug your loved ones, and never forget to look out for the people you love and check on them...and listen if they need to talk or seem unhappy. You never know...

I have heard, re: those left behind:

her dogs are taken care of...they've returned to breeders or are being taken in by those in the Ovcharka community. Her children...there are relatives and I am guessing they are with them...hopefully getting a ton of support and love and hugs. They lost BOTH parents, those kids.

Gina, thank you for posting this.  My thoughts are with her family, especially her children, and I sincerely hope she is at peace.

We should all hug our loved ones, and listen to them if they need us....and we all should never, ever be afraid to reach out if we are frightened, upset or sad.

My god, what is wrong with this world.  It seems every other day there is a story like this in the news.  I can't handle it.

I didn't know her on the boards at all, and I'm so grieved by this.  Her poor dogs and children.  May they all find the love they need and deserve.

OMG, I saw this on the news this morning.  I didn't realize who it was until I saw the thread with Zero.  She started posting him when she first got him.  Oh, this is so sad.  I'm so sorry for her family.

    Re: In Memory- member babsT/Ovcharkagirl

I remember her and her beautiful dogs.  I'm just at a loss for words.. God bless her and her family.  My heart hurts for those kids.. and the entire family.  What a senseless loss.

Thank you for sharing this Gina, I think though the family and friends may not realize the prayers are so wide spread, ever prayer and positive thought sent to them right now is needed.

    Rest in peace, Babs.

I am always saddened by this type of story whether I knew the people or not.  RIP Babs and may your family find some peace.
