Reply Contact Some stuff I've learned from another board: This number (40461-01040) is on every bag of Canidae, so it doesn't indicate anything. It seems there may have been a few "bad bags", but the batch number (on the bottom of the bag - Not the UPC code) is not known, so there's no way to know if you have a bad bag or not or if there is such a thing. I've often found seen bags of food st the stores just lying on the floor (they really need to be on pallets), sometimes they have considerable dust on them (makes ya wonder how long it's been there). But...the corn in a bag of canidae with no explanation, and the lack of feedback from the company makes me uncomfortable. Apparently, they had some quality control issues at one time, but they have long since been resolved. I would feed Canidae with confidence. In fact, I'm going to be using it in my rotation. I got this information from my local dog food guy, who is VERY conscientious and knowledgeable about what he sells. Reply Contact Mine have been on Canidae since New Year's...no problems.  Coke had some stomach issues we believe are due to turkey in ALS, not Canidae in general.  Kenya can eat ALS and Lamb and Rice, and Coke now eats Lamb and Rice. Reply Contact Almost every food shows up on that website at some point or another.   Someone opens a new bag of food or start feeding a new food.   Dog gets sick.   Assumption is that new food caused illness.   They complain.   Others say "YEAH - meeeeeeeee tooooooooooooo !".   Alot of it turns out to be hype, and I think that's what this one was.
