Have you seen the gladiator freestyle routine? That one is amazing!

Canine freestyle is so neat. How many hours does it take to teach a dog that stuff?

    "Are you a dog trainer?"
"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night."

Amazing.  Most people couldn't dance that well.

Siberian huskies are a lot like potato chips. We need to have more than one!

A friend sent me that link and my first thought was that it's easier to ride those movements than train the dog to do them!  The one thing that did confuse me is why the handler would be wearing equestrian gear at a dog show.  Seems a little silly, but maybe that's what she was going for!

That's so neat! I know many have seen this one, but my favorite is Carolyn Scott & Rookie to the song from Grease. It is simply adorable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqbVbPvlDoM&feature=related

Ah, but is it easier to train a horse from the ground up to be able to do those movements so you can ride them?  Wink  And yeah, I think what she did was an equestrian dressage routine, complete with side passes and high leg lifting trots.  Like this.

I don't think she was trying to be silly, I think she was acting as if she's a rider... giving a dressage performance.  If she'd been wearing jeans and a t-shirt it wouldn't have had the same impact.  And while it's easier to ride the movements than train a dog to do them, it's still harder to train a horse to do them, than a dog to.  Like TashaKota said, they are trained from the ground often :)

At anyrate, WAY cool. After watching that I taught logan to high step with his front, it's fairly easy.

It was really cool and I'm now hooked, Logan and Nik will learn to dance :)

    That was lovely.

This is what my breed has to offer:

The border collie seems to be saying "I love my mom" through the entire thing.  The basenji has a look that seems to say "I better be getting a big steak for this!"
