  Problem Solving Reply Contact I wasn't sure where to post this, but it is a mini brag. I am so proud of Teddi! Last night DH and I were tired, watching TV occasionally tossing the ball for Teddi to entertain her. Well we did not see we tossed the ball and it landed in a bad spot for a dog to get. Then we noticed Teddi was staring at the ball, cocking her head and without a word from us, she started walking around the area assessing the situation, and was able to get her ball out without disrupting anything! We did watch her do this and as she got her ball we rewarded her for her success. I have never had a dog who did that before and it was fun to watch the process and the wheels turning in her head. Now if it were Belle she would have stared at us until we gave in and got it for her.   Re: Problem Solving Reply Contact spiritdogs: Actually, it's a little scary watching Aussies think LOL   Because they do it so well and fast and it seems to take them only one time with a new pattern to lock it in. Then, again, I suppose a herding dog has to adjust to and account for new patterns all the time as the herd or flock of livestock move about. I noticed that with BIL's Aussie.
