Dog [&] POLL: Dry Kibble / Canned Food [Brand Loyalty]

There are many wonderful dry dog kibbles & canned food out on the market; based on forum observation the following brand names were chosen. If a trend begins to take place another brand name will be added. This is a statistical survey of interest; thank you to those who participate :o)

Which brand of DRY KIBBLE / CANNED FOOD do you feed in your home? Please select from the following brand names. If your brand name is not listed please select "Other" and feel free to list what BRAND you serve & why. If you feed multiple brand named products then list them all.

    • Canidae --- 16.7%%
    • Natura --- 16.7%
    • Natural Balance --- 11.1%
    • Eagle Pack --- 11.1%
    • Blue Buffalo
    • Nutro
    • Solid Gold
    • Orijen --- 22.2%

poll stats updated on 02/22/08 at 9:06 am

DISCLAIMER: Remember that all dogs are different and there is no "one right choice" of kibble. All though these statistics may show a helpful trend of popular kibble selection (here on the forum) always do further research or consult a professional before changing your dog's diet.

Currently Canidae, but I'm planning on also adding Natura in rotation just not there yet.

Currently Acana, but I'm going to switch to Orijen 6 Fish Formula for my next bag.  I may get both though as the trips to get those kinds is 4 hours round.

Honey gets Purina One Healthy Weight kibble and KayCee gets Taste of The Wild High Prairie.  However, they get about 2/3 kibble and 1/3 home cooked.

    What about a multiple option?

I'm feeding Innova Adult right now...but the next bag will be a different company and protein source. I rotate around between the Natura products, Eagle Pack, small bags of Orijen Fish,  Canidae,  and then NV raw diets if I can get Maddi to start eating them again. I also give a variety of canned foods.

     Hey Pom Mom...

My little guy (part peke) needs to lose some weight are we aren't having much luck. He is on Solid Gold Wee Bits....half cup a day, with a little warm water and maybe a couple of pieces of green bean or other veggie, sometimes I stir his food with the meat spoon for just a little flavor or use a little broth. Not much. He gets a treat when the other dogs get their meds in the a.m. and p.m.....might be a couple bites of cheese or little piece of  pb on bread or hot dog. We walk....depending on schedules and weather...two or three times a week if we can. I have dog doors and a fenced acre so he goes out an romps with my Chow girl or plays with the pom on the other side of the fence a little. He does have a sensitive stomach...he gets runny poops quite frequently. But he always acts like he is STARVED ......
