I don't really know the facts to this matter but the only fact I do know is those "people" are messed up in the head. I would have no problem dumping nukes on them like we did to Japan in WWII. I'm sick of their fighting/wars/terrorism/and whatever else they've got going on. Thier religious ways & minds are nothing but destructive.
WHOA! You know whenever I hear "those people" my brains kinda freaks out a bit. Are you trying to say "extremists who want to wipe out every other culture, religion and people"??? I hope so, because if by "those people" you mean all Iranians or all Middle Easterners, then that's pretty "destructive," don't ya think?
Personally I think your comment "I would have no problem dumping nukes on them like we did to Japan in WW II" is callous and shows a disregard for innocent civilians who die and the service members who have to do the killing.
How much do you know about what happened before the bombs were dropped on Japan? Do you have any idea of the casualty numbers for American and Japanese soldiers in the South Pacific? Did you know that the Japanese Premier had said (only two months before) that the Japanese would fight to the death rather than surrender?
My point: the decision to bomb Japan was made in order to end the war as quickly as possible and to prevent horrendous casualties--FOR BOTH SIDES. One bomb was dropped on August 6 and the next was dropped on August 9----the Japanese were given an opportunity to surrender. BTW Because of the bombs, Japan suffered only a fraction of the casualties that Germany did.
IMHO,You don't drop a nuclear bomb because you're "sick" of the way a group of people behave---you do it when you feel that the great horror of killing so many people will be greatly outweighed by the number of people saved.
The difference between the almost right word & the right word is really a large matter--it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.
