Dogs hair color changes quite a bit when they are that young. Why would you want to change her hair color? I'm pretty sure she couldn't care less what her hair color is.

Yes, hair color can definetly change as puppies develope, think of how a Yorkie is mostly black as a puppy.  What's confusing me is that Border terriers are not white or blonde, they are brown or brindle, if I recall.  Also, they aren't supposed to have "long hair" like a Maltese or Shih-Tzu.  Their coat should be around 1.5-2.5", and it should lye tight against her body.  Is she possibly a mix?

Many groomers buy human products to dye their animals bright neon colors for creative-grooming competitions.  Manic Panic is a very popular brand.  But, they are never dyeing to enhance natural markings.  They are coloring things like a pink flower on the dog's hip, for exapmle.

well im not really sure about her breed  i never had or seen a doggie like her but the people at the shelter said she was a border terrier. so thats what i tell people she is but she probably is a mix i guess. well i like her the way she is but i just dont like the blondish color in her back that much. theres actually a picture of her in her profile.

Blackrose,i dont see anything resembling a border terrier in your profile. Go to the BT breed club website and take a look.

In answer to your question, i would never, ever dye a dogs coat.It could seriously damage their skin and may make the coat dry/course,which you dont want.Let your dogs adult coat come in,it may turn out completely different to what it is now.
