I'm no sure which breeds you have so idk if this will help or not but:

I can totally relate to this problem. There came a point where I swear my Pom was BALDING or something she was shedding so much. Hairs were seriously everywhere.

I use specific breed coat shampoo, conditioner, and spray leave-in conditioner. ALSO I now brush her once a day. AND I cut her hair more often now.

I cut her hair every month (myself, I don't like groomers, too much money and I can do the same thing just as well) she sheds WAY less now! I also have a "thinning" / "de-shedding" tool I use once a week. It's pretty much a comb with a razor blade and it takes out all the lose excess hair.

Females tend to shed more anyway than males. They also shed more after heat (if not spayed). AND females once a year will do this thing where they "lose their coat" so watch out for that.

    BEST OF LUCK! *hugs*

That is probably why they shed so badly. If you put them on better food they wouldn't shed as much.

brushing regularily helps. anyways, you should get one of those thick double sided tape rolls that come with a roller thingy. you remove one layer of tape, then roll the fresh tape over your clothes. it's not a solution, but it helps a lot.. i for one gave up. when i wear black clothes, i put them on, after the dogs are crated and change the moment i'm back home.

Second vote for a better food. Shedding, especially off my double-coated monstrosity, improved massively when he was put on a high quality premium food and groomed with an undercoat rake regularly in coat-blowing seasons (spring and fall). At this point in the year now that the weather is stabilized (freezing cold, but stable), I can't even pull loose hairs off him with my fingers (tried last night and was amazed!). And this is a dog who for years, no matter what the season, left a trail of flying hairs in his wake everywhere he went. To be sure it has taken some time, shedding and coat quality won't necessarily improve overnight when you switch foods, but a high quality food is an investment for the entire life of your dog and in the long run, it pays off.

    Re: hairs everywhere plz help!!

You will actually save money if you feed them something like Canidae over Beneful.

     Canidae ingredients:

Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal, Brown Rice, White Rice, Lamb Meal, Chicken Fat (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Herring Meal, Flax Seed, Sun Cured Alfalfa Meal, Sunflower Oil, Chicken, Lecithin, Monocalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Linoleic Acid, Rosemary Extract, Sage Extract, Dried Enterococcus Faecium, Dried Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Extract, Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Extract, Inulin (from Chicory root), Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Fermentation Solubles, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Mixed Tocopherols (source of Vitamin E), Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Ascorbic Acid (source of Vitamin C), Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (source of B2), Beta Carotene, Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Calcium Iodate, Folic Acid, D-Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Papaya, Vitamin B12 Supplement.

    Feeding instructions:

    2-10 lbs.

    1/2-3/4 cup

    10-25 lbs.

    3/4-1 cup

    25-50 lbs.

    1-2 cups

    Beneful ingredients:

Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, whole wheat flour, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols (form of Vitamin E), rice flour, beef, soy flour, sugar, sorbitol, tricalcium phosphate, water, salt, phosphoric acid, animal digest, potassium chloride, dicalcium phosphate, sorbic acid (a preservative), L-Lysine monohydrochloride, dried peas, dried carrots, calcium carbonate, calcium propionate (a preservative), choline chloride, added color (Yellow 5, Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 2), DL-Methionine, Vitamin E supplement, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, Vitamin A supplement, manganese sulfate, niacin, Vitamin B-12 supplement, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, copper sulfate, biotin, garlic oil, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, Vitamin D-3 supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), calcium iodate, sodium selenite.

    3-12 lbs.......1/2-1 1/4 cups
    13-20 lbs......1 1/4-1 2/3 cups
    21-35 lbs......1 2/3-2 1/2 cups
    36-50 lbs......2 1/2-3 1/4 cups
    51-75 lbs......3 1/4-4 cups
    76-100 lbs.....4-5 cups
Over 100 lbs...5 cups plus 1/3 cup for each 10 pounds over 100

Notice how you have to feed MORE of the Beneful than you would of the Canidae for the same sized dog? Also check the main (first) ingredient. In Canidae it's an actual meat. In Beneful it's corn. What do you think is better for your dog? Have you ever seen a dog grazing in a corn field? Dogs do love meat though.

There are lots of foods out there that are far superior to Beneful. Check this website for some info. and ideas:

    Re: hairs everywhere plz help!!

Here's a page from The Dog Food Project website that gives an idea of what to look for in a food: http://www.dogfoodproject.com/index.php?page=betterproducts

Beneful is really....well, it's really bad. I don't know how else to put it. A good rule of thumb with dog food is to avoid anything you can purchase at your grocery store or Wal-Mart. Premium pet food companies, for some reason, usually only sell through independent pet or feed stores, though some good brands can be found at PetSmart and PetCo (Avoderm and Blue at PetSmart, and Natural Balance and Wellness at PetCo). Pet Supplies Plus has a good selection of premium foods as well, if you have any of those near you.

You have to read the ingredients of dog food. At one time I also just assumed that companies wouldn't sell dog food if it was bad for your dog. I just took for granted that they knew best and whatever they made their food out of was fine. I never read labels. But since educating myself on what the reality of dog food is about, it's pretty horrifying what some of these companies get away with as far as disgusting ingredients and really false marketing. It's up to us as consumers to vote with our dollars. Here's a good page explaining the ins and outs of dog food and how to read dog food labels, as well as some specific brand recommendations and anti-recommendations.  http://www.asuperiorgsd.com/dog.food.html

EDIT: Great minds think alike, Jewlieee, we posted the same link!

    Re: hairs everywhere plz help!!

I agree with what everyone has said about getting them on a better food, and more frequent grooming.

Still, there will always be dog hair. The best way to avoid looking like a walking furball is careful section of clothing. There are certain fabrics that I can never never wear no matter how often I would use a sticky hair roller. Black or any other dark fleece, impossible! No dark sweaters. Avoid fabrics with a nap or a loose weave. On fabrics that tend to have static, always use a fabric softener.

Truthfully, I hardly ever need to use a hair roller and I have three Samoyeds.

Geez, I just fully realized that not only do I chose home decor to fit the dogs, also my wardrobe. They must be worth it. Looking forward to leather furniture some day.

Our priest's teacher (we're Buddhists) is the bravest guy I know. He is a Zen Buddhist priest, so he wears all black, and he has two huge fluffy double-coated white dogs!

There will always be hair, that's a fact. But good food and regular grooming can really cut down on it significantly.

    Re: hairs everywhere plz help!!

I love the Furminator line for my 2 dogs.  One is a mix with a more shepherd/huskie type coat and one has a longer, almost rough collie type coat.  Woobie sheds more than Indie by a longshot.  The shampoo and conditioner really helps get alot of the coat out in the bath, the tool works wonders, I use it on the 2 cats also, and I also vacuum the dogs!  LOL!  I have a Dyson and use the upholstery brush, it took a little while to get Woobie used to it but treats and short sessions made it possible.  It helps alot.  Your little dogs might be too scared for the vacuum bit, but the Furminator line is good for all coat lengths.

And I have more lint rollers in my house, car, and purse than any person I know!  Big Smile
