    RE: Anyone show their dogs?

I started in obedience now show in conformation, obedience, rally and herding.  The UKC and AKC websites have some information for novices.  Labs if that is your breed is quite competitive and I dont know the owner handler rates for conformation.  You also have the option of hunt/retriever trials if you have sporting breed.  Lure coursing for sight hounds, and for just about any body  flyball, and free style, and dock dogs etc.  And of course agility

I am doing Rally with my Golden Retriever to start, I work with a dog trainer that does group lessons and teaches what to do to train for obedience, rally, agility, ect.  I also am showing confirmation with my Cairn Terrier.  I am getting started through the breeder I bought her from, she suggested books to read that will help.  Also, it might be helpful to get involved with a Kennel Club in your area, you can find them on the Web.
